I’d have to imagine the biggest question Eddie George was asked in the interview is how will go about 09/27? How will you handle sharing a conference with the mighty Ohio Bobcats? Does he want a job in the same conference as that powerhouse program?

Eddie George would be my pick

I liked Kevin Johns last year but in 2024 I don't even know what he was doing. He was Dukes of in 2023 with Riley Leonard. Hes from Piqua, played for Dayton, coached at Western Michigan for a year.

If it's not george or Monroe at this point I'll be disappointed. George turned around a team that had been stuck in the mud the last 20 years, ohio ties, and an acclimated nfl career.

Bonus 9/27 is a Titan holiday so he's guaranteed to win that day

Eddie George was a candidate for the Akron job that Moorhead ended up getting. He was also tied to the Bears opening, and vacancy with Temple this year.

He's probably the best candidate given the situation. Things at Tennessee State are rumored to be tight. I hope if he's hired that he gets the proper support at BG from both a compensation and resources perspective.

His top wideout last year is named Karate Brenson. That's awesome.

Nick Monroe from the Clawson years? Responsible for some good recruiting from Florida if that is him.

Blade reporting it’s official!

Eddie George agrees to become Bowling Green football coach

MAR 9, 2025 6:45 AM
BOWLING GREEN — Former Ohio State and NFL star Eddie George has agreed to become the next head football coach at Bowling Green State University, sources told The Blade on Sunday.
BG officials interviewed three finalists Friday at the Westin at Detroit Metro Airport — George, UMass offensive coordinator Mike Bajakian, and Oklahoma State quarterbacks coach Kevin Johns — and extended an offer to George on Saturday.
George, 51, is in his fifth season at FCS Tennessee State, where he just led the Tigers to one of their best years in school history. Tennessee State last season won its first conference championship since 1999 and made the FCS playoffs for the first time since 2013.
