Wish they were 7 or 8p instead of 6, but on the plus side, Fridays rarely have youth sports conflicts, so awesome.
Plus these national television games tend to have fun atmospheres on Friday night.

Re: 2024-2025 Season
Students will still be on break for the Akron game, so that’s a bummer (maybe they make it a dollar night to fill it up for TV?) but the Toledo game should be packed.

I would have been surprised if we weren't 5th. I still really like the group we have and think with all the transfers the European trip is going to be a huge help. Voters have no reason to put us higher though
I like the 6pm games on Friday. At least for toledo it will end around 8 so students don't have to leave early for other activities

Hockey plays at 7pm in the Slate the same night as the Toledo game.fanatic13 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2024 10:33 pm I would have been surprised if we weren't 5th. Todd Simon and Trey Thomas were interviewed by Field of 68 on MAC Media Day.
Interestingly, Simon pretty much admitted that they completely changed the offense last year when they realized we really couldn’t shoot it.

That was pretty obvious and showed some pretty good coaching chops, IMO. IT was clear we couldn't do anything close to what Simon wanted or made his name, but with Agee & Hill we could kick ass by attacking the rim. And we put together a pretty successful first season.mbenecke wrote: ↑Thu Oct 24, 2024 8:05 pm https://youtu.be/fDA2N7oa-zc?si=RgrX9zIWOgYwladO

Let's hope they got some shooters this year, because I don't know how much longer we can keep SImon here.

Don't know if he'll do it directly from here...but I could see Simon replacing Izzo at MSU some day

Sad news to pass along: Coach Simon announced that Freshman Alijah Adem lost his father, uncle, and 2 siblings in a tragic house fire in Las Vegas last month.

College basketball is insanely fun now but its frustrating seeing Chris Jans interviewed and AGee starting for USC.
If we are just getting a new roster every year I think it will be tough to watch.

Re: 2024-2025 Season
Highlight of this season has to be the win at Toledo. Glad we at least got that one squared away.
