And let’s break down those CCHA prognosticators:

A Tech grad, an Augustana play by play guy, the Minnesota State play by play guy, an NCHC reporter based in Nebraska, a Bemidji writer, a North Dakota writer, an Augustana writer, and a St. Thomas writer.

Great, non-biased group of guys making their picks here.
As I said, the usual collection ;-)
There's a reason the games are played on the ice. Bulletin board material right there.
Absolutely. Willy should print that out and tape it to every guy’s locker. It’s straight up disrespect.
This is what irritates me. We beat the hell out of the Lucia Pets for 120 min, they barely eek out 4 points and the CCHA metaverse is "all about Augie." Then we beat the hell out of Tech for 120 min (OK, 124 or whatever it was), but because game 1 went into OT the metaverse says, "yeah, well, yeah, so what." Now we go into the high school rink and everyone goes "yeah, well, the Tommies are on this incredible winning streak, might as well crown Rico." So who was the last team to beat them before they went on this run for the ages? If you guessed us you'd be right.

The only way we will ever get any modicum of respect from these people is to win.

St. Thomas win streak is a little paper tiger-y to me. They’re hot right now. I get it. But those 7 wins:

Against us 2-1, but we outshot them 58-21. (And we crushed them 4-1 the night before)

Then 2 against 5-27-2 NMU. Then 2 against Tech, who we just swept. Then 2 against Ferris, who we went 3-1-0 against this year.

Like, sweet run. No doubt they’re hot. But how hot? Guess we’ll see on Saturday.

That's not Willy's style. It's just noise as far as he's concerned. His message will stay the same no matter what. "Play the right way, our way." He was asked a couple weeks ago about earning home ice and his response was "that's a thing right now?" He's said he's sure the players know scenarios and what's being said elsewhere, but they don't hear any of that from the staff.

It's more than just winning. Humiliate them and you'll still hear arguments of "catching them at the right time."

It’s winning, and then it’s winning over and over. Need to become a consistently winning program and start winning against the good teams in the league and around the country.

I feel like we’re on the right path to get there. Starts with the next game.

Can we get a sportsbar or even the university, to be a host site to watch these games on Midco.....

Downtown, Brathause, Quarters.....open the rink up show it in the lounge. Missed opportunity at a low cost.

I just noticed our game is at 4PM CT. Unfortunately, Delta doesn't have a late flight MSP-DTW. Would have been nice to fly in, go to game, fly out.

I was wondering the same thing about Center Ice. I'd rather not buy Midco which it turns out is a Buckeye Cable type company?

Speaking of the usual collection, get a load of the list of schools for award winners across the CCHA this year.

Defensive Forward - Bemidji
Defensive Defenseman - Michigan Tech
Rookie - Michigan Tech
Goaltender - Minnesota State
Defenseman - Minnesota State
Forward - Minnesota State

It’s like they watch 3 or 4 teams all year. Things don’t exist outside of Minnesota or the UP.

League awards are voted on by coaches. Not sure if the league officials get a say or if it's strictly coach vote.

Which Midco plan do I need if I just want this year's CCHA tournament games?

On their website it’s the MidCo Sports Plus 2 option. Use the promo code SAVE30.

End of One, it’s 0-0.

St. Thomas leads in shots roughly 10-6 at last glance. BG with 51 seconds of powerplay advantage to start the middle frame.

1-0 Tommies. Not a surprise, they’re doubling our shot total right now. We seem a step slow in every phrase right now.
