There are a couple of new college hockey "apps" that have just hit the market.

First up is a notification service that will ping you every time there's a player move on one of your fave'd teams. It was written by a Tech guy. https://collegehockeytransfers.com/

Second is real-time score app like CHN that was written by a UCONN guy, but a) it's a refreshed UI that may or may not be better than CHN, but b) has a crap ton of free stats that you'd have to pay for on CHN. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/pucks-col ... 6743086852

I don’t follow EPxfer so I don’t know. I have this set to send me a text for all BG transactions so it’s more of a push model than a pull.

I’m an iPhone guy so I don’t know if there’s an android version or not.

I realize I have been pretty useless on providing answers.

Haha, it's all good. EP Transfers is Elite Prospects. They tweet EVERY player transaction, not just college. They cover Europe as well.

What's the name of the second app? I can search the Play Store if I have a name.

I know EP, just don’t follow on Xitter. This Tech guy is scraping EP and a bunch of other sources, filtering out the dupes and sending out the notifications. I’m familiar with his work, thought I’d give this a try.

It’s called “Pucks-College Hockey”

Play Store brings up nada. Guess it's an iPhone only thing.

Stoever, in the post game Saturday, mentioned it was the players that kept both assistant coaches here for this season. Their 2 requests were keep the staff, and keep all the players so they could have a sense of normalcy for this season. Would not be surprised if one or more assistants moved on this offseason. Also won't be surprised if some of the incoming (non CHL) recruits go with them, maybe even some of the current "low game count" players as well.

For what it is worth, the CCHA website just blocked me on X for criticizing their Minnesota bias on their website. I find it hard to believe that a website for an organization wanting readership and support would block someone. I guess that they can't take any heat.

Hot Stoeve was the subject of this week’s CCHA podcast. It’s highly entertaining and worth a listen.

Hockey John, most anyone who complains on Xitter gets blocked so it’s not just you. I heard a fair number of Mavs fans have gotten the same treatment.

Kind of jealous you got blocked before me.
