Not looking like it's our game tonight. Will be very lucky if we can come away with a win.
Bring back the glory!

We are playing our hearts out but they are better at taking us off our game. Good news is we’re still in it.
Next goal wins.

Tommies get another to go up 2-1 with 12:11 to play.
That one was rough. Not sure if we were on a change or just severely out of position, but it was way too easy to get behind us.
Have to get the next.

BG pulls the goalie for an extra attacker AND gets a powerplay to have a 6 on 4, but a careless pass clears the zone and then a turnover ends up in a Cooper Gay goal. Season will end in the semis.

Not a great power play to end the season, but it seems fitting. Hopefully the CHL players can bring much needed skill to the team next year

Game was a microcosm of the season. End up winning the shots and faceoffs battle. Other team blocks WAY more shots than we do. Can’t buy a goal when it matters.
Future is very, very bright. We’ve got some things to work on, and there will be some pretty significant roster turnover for next season. But I am confident we are heading in the right direction.
Thank you 2, 16, 17, 20, 21, 22, 24, 25, 30, 31, and 33. You leave this place better than you found it, and for the first time in a little while, the trajectory of the program is pointed up.

Glad to see a positive comment. The team played extremely hard and gave a strong effort. I, too, am looking forward to next year. Next year will be my 50th year of Falcon Hockey, God willing.mbenecke wrote: ↑Sat Mar 15, 2025 11:33 pm Game was a microcosm of the season. End up winning the shots and faceoffs battle. 1988….last time BGSU Hockey won a piece of a championship. In college hockey that is almost impossible. Willie will get it done eventually, but program has to get tougher. It’s not the commissioner, the refs, the opposing fans…it’s on BGSU Hockey. You want respect, you have to earn it.

The better team won tonight, but they weren’t better by much. Willy wrung every ounce of talent out of this group that he could. The team got better throughout the year which is another positive. Really proud of the progress the team and program made this season.
The countdown to next season starts now. Can’t wait.

Nothing to be bitter about this year. Kudos to the team for sticking together during the coaching change. The effort was there most nights which was an improvement over the Eigner years, and they won a playoff series.
Interesting summer ahead. Big time incoming class. Decent possibility a guy like Waters hits the portal. The turnover will be a good thing so Willy can get his players in here and go to work. Excited for the future, which is something that's been missing for the last few seasons.
