Evola to the portal. Look like we’re carrying only two goalies next year.

Roster size of 26?

That's a real head scratcher. He's a decent enough backup/3rd string. Can't really see him getting a lot of playing time, unless he's dropping to D3.

O'Hanisain, Schankula, Lookeberg, aren't really surprising. Healthy scratches for the majority of the season. Santa Juana is a bit of a shocker, but not really. Lots of potential from him, but struggled to crank the lineup.

Of note, O'Hanisain's brother Jack has had 2 phenomenal seasons in the NAHL and has yet to commit anywhere for next season.

Best of luck to those guys. Not really impact players but it sucks to lose some depth. Curious to see how Willy attacks the portal for the first time.

If BG has to get down to 26, losing those guys put them at 28 if all the 04s committed show up (and Leslie who's an 05). Status of Bevilacqua is still unknown publicly. Gotta think there will be a "practice" goalie who's not technically on the roster. Otherwise, that's 3 more cuts before even considering attacking the portal. The 26 roster limit will screw a lot of players. Should be implemented after 4 years to allow current players to cycle through and graduate instead of just being cut and hung out to dry.

With an unknown number of teams whacking their rosters down to 26 spots coupled with CHL guys coming in, there is no longer any room for a lot of the guys currently in the portal. As of this post, McMahon has the portal count at 158 and the vast majority of these guys will not be portalling to BiG, Nacho, or HE teams.

I currently have our roster at 29 which includes Niedermayer, Parker, and Luke Pfoh. Also includes Waters who we've speculated over.

Forwards
Jackson Niedermayer
Brett Pfoh
Jaden Grant
Quinn Emerson
Ben Doran
Brody Waters
Matvei Kabanov
Adam Zlinka
Max Martin
Luke Pfoh (26-27?)
Ilya Rogovsky
Jeremie Minville
Tanner Scott
Jake Sloan
Noah Morneau
Connor Levis
Brandon Whynott
Camden Bajzer

Defensemen
Eric Parker
Jack Blake
Dalton Norris
Breck McKinley
Gustav Stjernberg
Michael Bevilacqua
Ivan Korodiuk
Brayden Crampton
Ty Higgins
Mazden Leslie

Goaltenders
Cole Moore
Jacob Steinman

Portal
Brandon Santa Juana
Adam Schankula
Johannes Løkkeberg
Nick O'Hanisain
Sam Evola

One Day has kicked off. Scott Slater is adding a 1-for-2 match up to $50k. As of this posting we're 4% of the way there.

Well, looks like the One Day crew has conflicting messages on the web site. Based on my math it seems Scott's match is 2-for-1, not 1-for 2 (which actually makes sense). At 4:30 we're 71% of the way there which equates to $53,250 out of a possible $75,000.

I took it as every dollar donated, he's matching with $2.

It's definitely screwed up. The subheading reads (as you interpreted):
$2 per $1 donated up to $50,000, only for the next $3,381
while the body reads:
For every $2 donated to the Ice Hockey Enhancement Fund, he’ll give $1—up to $50,000.
Someone could have done a better job at proofreading but maxing out the challenge is all that matters here. We're at 86% with $3,381 to go.

I donated $50 to close out the money needed to match. You're welcome.

Just a quick look behind the curtain of fundraising: Matches are just marketing language to encourage others to give. And it works! But that check for $50k has already been cashed regardless of if the match goal was met or not.

One Day netted almost $96k for hockey which should cover the travel nut next year. Well done, JP!

$150 in total. Plus my $600 Falcon Club donation when I renewed football season tickets.

Good thing there aren't tariffs on donations lol.
