Not a great shooter but a 6'5" passer with overall balanced stats (5.6ppg, 2.0rpg, 2.6apg in 20mpg) in the Big 12 ain't bad.

EDIT: Also, FWIW, he had a solid freshman year, hurt his knee his sophomore year, and was a bit limited this past year with minutes and it affected his shot a bit. Fans seemed to like him in Boulder but also expected him to move on.

Reese Potter from Miami is transferring to Kentucky. Bit of a surprise given that he came off the bench for Miami, but he is a big that can shoot it and is a native of Lexington.

He is basically what we hope Preston Squire can become.

BG is his SIXTH school. Wow, did not know that could be possible, even in today's world. Nonetheless, this is his last year of eligibility and he was a contributor at FSU. Should be a decent pickup. I believe that gives us a full roster with a nice mix of new talent from P5, JUCO and D2 schools.

His academic transcript must be really something.

"None of your credits transfer...we'll be treating you like an incoming freshman..."

If that fills out the roster are we going guard heavy? Do we have enough bigs?

Now this is a nice pick up.

I think we should be good on bigs. Towns, Glover, Khayat, Goins, Squire, Karel and Thomas is a long 6’7” who will be able to rebound in the MAC. All will rebound better than Johnson by default. Ruffin is another big guard who should be able to rebound and Campbell rebounds well for a guard. This actually has to be one of the bigger rosters BGSU has had in some time.

I thin that puts us one over the scholarship limit

1 Kimbrough 6-0 JR Xfer 18.6p 45.6 3% 6.2a Leach 6-2 FR
2 Campbell 6-2 SR 14.9p 5r 39.4 3% Ruffin 6-5 SR Xfer 5.6p 2r 2.1a 31 3% Pardon 6-4 Fr .6p
3 Shackleford 6-4 SO Xfer 15.8p 4r 45.3 3% Thomas 6-7 SR Xfer 4.8p 2.3r 33.3 3%
4 Khayat 6-9 Jr 8.5p 3.2r 40 3% Glover 6-10 SR Xfer 10.7p 8.6r 2b Karel 6-9 FR Spurgin 6-7 Sr 2.3p
5 Towns 6-9 Sr 6.3p 7r 1.5b Goins 6-9 JR Xfer 15.4p 5r 44.6 3% Squire 6-11 Jr 1.6p

I'd say we are actually light on guards

The NCAA increased the scholarship limit to 15, effective for the 25/26 season.

Also I'd say Khayat is more of a 3 than a 4. Despite his height he definitely profiles as a wing and not a post.

I don’t think he is unless we go into the season one under and they give it to him.

Roster has been updated https://bgsufalcons.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster Alijah Adem is still on the roster for 25-26 which means I would believe they are done.
