Re: 2025 Preseason
One thing I’ve learned is don’t use the seldom used concession stands when they open them for higher attendance games. Had one of the worst tasting sips of beer in my life at the Stroh for like $8 as that thing had to have spent the offseason in there. It’s July, BGSU is always going to fix the problems in July, then September hits and the work is work and it goes to s**t again. It is about time for the health department to make an appearance at Doyt Perry. The last time all stands failed inspection but did inspire the infamous Kit Hughes hot dog selfie to assure everyone the food was safe.

It's like an SNL skit at this point. Comparable to the Bill Brasky bits.

I have no idea how good we'll be...but I do like how UT gets hyped every year and they almost always fall short...often times because of us
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

I'm good with us at #6. Hard to gauge just how could we might be. It's all where you finish.

Re: 2025 Preseason
Eddie stated that Drew Pyne is the starter and it's his job to lose. Have to imagine the group of QBs who were here for spring ball didn't impress much. Still a concern is not being able to develop a QB, but perhaps in today's environment that doesn't really matter much.
Camp opens on Monday with the early start to the season so I suspect we'll see a ton of media stories next week.

Re: 2025 Preseason
That’s about right. Hard to justify picking us higher, given the turnover.jpfalcon09 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 24, 2025 2:18 pm Coaches Preseason Poll is out, first place votes in parenthesis:

Only 3 of our 8 MAC games are against teams picked ahead of us. And 2 of those are at home.
We play 1, 3, 4, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13. I maintain my stance that we’re going to start slow and have a tough record after the first half, then we’ll finish strong.

Re: 2025 Preseason
Starting to roll through the roster more.
QB-Seems like Pyne has this easy with Anderson and Najm fighting for backup spots
RB-There ins't much here, not that anyone couldn't break through but our transfer guys didn't even do much at their first stops. Any thoughts about RB?

Probably by committee. There's a lot of talent there. Depends if one player can separate themselves from the pack.Globetrotter wrote: ↑Wed Jul 30, 2025 8:55 pm Starting to roll through the roster more.

Dendy is a good add. Nice size for a MAC back. Was recruited as a safety by Missouri but made a position change after they were low on numbers.Globetrotter wrote: ↑Thu Jul 31, 2025 3:14 amThere are a lot of players but doesn't seem like much talent, who do you like?jpfalcon09 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 31, 2025 1:18 amProbably by committee. Wimberly has been here several years and shown some pop in limited usage, mostly due to injury.
McMIllian is a bit of a wildcard having come from Northeast Mississippi C.C.
The rest are pretty unknown. DeFalco and Edmunds are both local kids so you'd like to see them be a factor in some capacity.

Re: 2025 Preseason
Add in that they have one of the greatest running backs of all time as their head coach, and I have some faith in their ability to be at least MAC quality in that room.
