Predicted BG 24-14. Expecting a disjointed game on offense - things probably stay pretty vanilla which should be enough to win, but not anticipating a blowout by any means.mbenecke wrote: ↑Thu Aug 28, 2025 11:22 am Anyone have a feel for how this game is gonna go?
I'm expecting to start slow as guys start to gain game chemistry, but I think I trust the offense to put up some points this year, assuming Pyne has the goods. This offensive line should be a strength for us. No idea what to expect from the defense, but it has a high ceiling if the transfer additions hit.
I'd like to see us score 30+ in this game - we only did that 4 times in the regular season last year. Give us something to root for on offense.
But ultimately, just end the night 1-0.

Thanks for your reply. I was wrong about my Disney/Hulu package and bought the ESPN Select App for $11.99/mo. The gameday splash page on the athletic department website has a link that says "Watch Live" and when you click on it, it takes you to the normal ESPN+ video tab. So, I truly believe you should be able to watch this one the way you would before, by accessing it through your normal ESPN+ route - whether that's in the ESPN app/website, through Hulu, or even on Disney+. I implore you to at least give it a try at gametime.
I'm looking forward to being there in the stadium tonight. Hoping the rain holds off as much as possible, but I'm bringing a poncho just in case.
Should be a spectacle with all the big named in the house tonight. You guys think Urban Meyer is a big selfie guy?![]()

I’m sad that I can’t be there in person, I’m pretty excited about the possibility that the team can be pretty decent. I did my part by pitching in and buying a set of tickets for my nephew to go. I’ll be watching on ESPN +.

My kid's soccer practice wraps up around 6:45, so we'll be getting in late.
I'm torn between hoping Eddie has the team ready to pounce on an FCS opponent and hoping that it's not 28-3 when we get in.
And of course if the weather sucks we'll probably bail, so hopefully it is dry.

I'm just excited to watch some BG football again even if I don't know most of the roster. I'll take us winning 35-17

7-0 after one quarter. We're just running it right down their throats right now.

It was wishful thinking that the strength of this team will be the O Line. I think our O and D line play is going to be tough to watch. Other then our fronts I think we look solid so far.

17-0 at half. Pretty much what I expected. Vanilla play calling. Be nice to see what some of the receivers can do, but I understand keeping it simple against lesser competition. The pass game definitely needs some work though.

Defense looks good so far, Pringle has been everywhere. Offense apparently only knows how to run an inside zone, but it’s Lafayette so whatever. I get Eddie wanting to save some stuff for what is an actually winnable game next week

Thus far...Pudge the cat is the breakout star for the 2025 Falcon football team!

I'll give Pyne a pass for the first couple weeks. Missed all of spring ball. Pretty obvious that side of the ball is a major work in progress.
Bigger concern at the moment is McClendon and Pascal getting injured.
