We're not playing that bad. Garcia is going to be a player. We've got good running backs and Pyne has been much better in the second half. Big plays have killed us on defense.
I agree on some of the playcalls. But... they're still fighting and we're only down 14 now.

31-10. Thin roster starting to show, we’re gassed.
Easier to deal with in MAC play, but you’re not beating a P4 opponent like this. Especially when it’s paired with an extreme risk-averse strategy.

Change the pass interference and some play calling and this could be a tie game

My take is this coaching staff didn’t come in to this game with winning as their top priority. It think is more of a “preseason” game for them to figure out what we have and who we have.
In this second half I think we are seeing we have potential and finding out who our dogs are.

Defense holds in the red zone. Bearcats add a field goal.
34-17 with 6:12 left.

Re: @ Cincinnati (9/6)
BG adds a (cowardly) field goal to make it 34-20.
It was a 3 score game and you made it a 2 score game, so I guess I get it. But man, we need touchdowns when we’re in that close.
I get it, though. We’re still fighting, at least. Actually relatively impressed by this 2nd half effort, winning 17-13 since halftime.

Final: Cincinnati 34, Bowling Green 20
Honestly not a bad effort. Wish we had played to win from the jump instead of waiting til halftime, but it feels like we figured some stuff out in the 2nd half.
On to Liberty.

A lot of positives to take away from the 2nd half. The first half felt very conservative which may have been the difference. Overall I feel good about the game, answered a lot of questions in the pass and it should be a catalyst for Liberty.

Re: @ Cincinnati (9/6)
I don’t get this logic. You must score 3 times and if you go away with no points leaves it at 3 time. The field goal cut it to 2. Why wasn’t that the right choice?
