100% agree Guest. I love Butler as a 6th man, which I think is an ideal role for him. Humphrey did seem to bring some steadiness to the lineup towards the end of the season, if he comes back, it still needs to be in a deeper bench role. However, in this day and age of CBB, i think it’s unlikely we sell both on these roles.
Having met the kid and judging from his on-court body language he strikes me as a good locker-room guy and a guy that Simon trusts. It wasn't lost on me that when we had 1 play to get to Cleveland, we drew it up for Humphrey.

He was a big time shooter in JUCO level and we've seen glimpses, so hopefully he can stay healthy and that shot materializes at the D1 level.
LONG LIVE THE MONGOOSE!!

I posted this in the Hockey forum. Basically, the roster limits will not be what was proposed, at least for next season.

Simply put, seems there will be no roster limit of 26 next season. I think the appeals process would have negated it for next season anyways.

Assistant German Srulovich is leaving to become an agent. So we’ll need to fill a hole in the coaching staff with about 10.5 weeks til the opener.

Jordan Strack tweeted yesterday that he heard some news that will excite BG fans and give our program a jolt. A BCSN Reporter said within the same hour that there was going to be a head coaching change in boys basketball in Toledo.

Today, Whitmer announced BG legend and former assistant Anthony Stacey was stepping down as their head coach.

I'm connecting some dots here...

Tyler Seggerman is reporting for WTOL that Stacey is indeed returning to BG to be an assistant coach.

He has a strong stint as the man in charge at Whitmer, as he took them to the state final four in 2024 and won 2 league titles.

Must've been a package deal with Makhi Leach.

BG just announced Stacey's hiring, officially.

I'm thrilled to have Stacey back. The team was much better when he was around and his daily work with the bigs was what made guys like Wiggins improve so much. Stacey and Nairm is a talented staff to have around Simon. I'm looking forward to see what the staff can do

I agree with this. My only addition is I think Adem will be a bigger contributor than we're guessing at this point. He might be in that first off the bench group.

Attended more games than any responsible student should have.
