We look much more like a 1-5 football team than 3-3. That said we were probably fortunate to end up with wins in 2 of them.

We will need to check the impressions before we consider today a total disaster. With no rules in college sports left can we offer Central Michigan a trade of head coaches? Thankfully, we still got Pudge.

This game has become so unwatchable that I had to turn it off. I hope BG can continue to get back to good football, but today wasn’t it. It’s obvious the Falcon-faithful will support the team, so I hope the momentum isn’t wasted.

I wouldn’t worry about the “momentum”, it will be an all systems go social media blitz that the “momentum” is not wasted.

Bad game all around. Hope they bounce back next week. Anderson has potential but he’s clearly not ready to be a starter yet

Potential as a running back or receiver, but not a quarterback.

The biggest gripe from Loeffler, never developed an in-house QB. Hurt the program immensely upon his departure. Depth was in issue at the position if Pyne got hurt and we're seeing it come to roost.

BGSU lost by 21 points to a team that threw 5 passes all day. A coaching mismatch.

I chose the right game to miss. However I'll take the blame for the loss

What was with all the penalties today? Think I saw 3 unsportsmanlike conducts today on the game tracker

My biggest gripe with this staff is that they have no idea when to be aggressive. Pulling that garbage at stupid times costs you games.
I agree with 99% of everything you have said in this thread, but ... I don't think that was a fake punt. I think Henderson decided to pull it down & run at the last second because he thought it was going to be blocked. I could be wrong (and I often am).

Entirely possible that’s the case. My criticism would then change to the coaching staff needing to understand the situation and communicating that with their players to make sure THEY do, too. That mistake virtually ended the game.

It was designed, just didn’t work. BG had no answer for 97 & 98, this absolutely shut them down on 3rd & 4th and short. Between that and the turnovers it completely killed this team. Heck the two interceptions were on the receivers, entirely catchable balls that ricocheted to the defense

Lucian was competent enough to be 17/25 passing yesterday. Feels like there’s at least something in his passing ability that they need to be willing to to use moving forward if Pyne is still out. You don’t complete almost 70% of your passes by accident.

I’m not saying he needs to just be completely let loose, he obviously has some limitations, but they have to be less obvious or nothing will work. They have to be willing to take what’s there for them. If there are 9 or 10 guys in the box, you have to take a shot against man on the outside.

Even just to extend drives for the defense to get a breather, you have to try. The defense wore down yesterday because we’d run the ball into a wall 3 times and punt and they’d be right back out there. Have to be creative on O to protect your D, too.

He has been here long enough to know the ceiling. Another year will not help
