@ Davidson (11/15)

Post by mbenecke »

On Saturday, November 15, our Falcons (3-0) will head out for their first road game, where they will take on the Davidson Wildcats (2-0). The game will begin at 6:00pm and will be available to stream on ESPN+.

Davidson has a game against Charlotte before we play this weekend, so if you're into that sort of thing, you can watch them on Tuesday night at 7:00pm on ESPN+.

Should be a really good challenge for us. Strong competition, and the added challenge of playing our first road game.

Go Falcons!

Davidson beat Charlotte on Tuesday night, 62-55. They look like a decent 3-point team, curious to see how BG does on the boards against them as Charlotte brought down 13 offensive rebounds.

That win jumped them ahead of us to 119 in the KenPom (we are 131) so this will be a really good measuring of what kind of potential we really have.

Attended more games than any responsible student should have.

Excited for the game today. First real road game and should be a good measuring stick for how close we are to the top tier of the Mac

It is shocking how much better we are defensively this year.

The sound and picture are at least 5 seconds apart for me.

Struggling to make shots so far. Defense is keeping us in it just need Koval for Davidson to miss a shot

Davidson ends the half by hitting four tough 3s. Down 45-38. We've shown a lot of resilience but one team is 8 of 16 on threes and the other is 2 of 8

We're still not hitting shots and the whole Davidson team is in a rhythm

BG battles from down 21 to get within 2, but loses 91-87. Good non-conference battle on the road.

Honestly the game wasn't that close. We were down 19 with 2:14 to go but an insane run through the press cut that to one with 31 seconds to go. If we made our free throws down the stretch it would have been a historic comeback.

We missed a lot of shots all night I expect us to make while Davidson took advantage of their opportunities on offense and at the line. I'm not too discouraged even though Davidson controlled the second half because we still played pretty well on the road and we didn't roll over when we easily could have. We'll have better shooting days

Fantastic game for Shackelford and Wol. Glover missed a couple bunnies and didn't play much in the second half. Campbell and Towns struggled most of the game but took advantage of the open game in the last 8 to 10 minutes
