vs. Northern Michigan (12/5-6)

Post by mbenecke »

Following the weekend sweep of Princeton, our Falcons (7-4-3) will be at home once again this upcoming weekend, hosting the Northern Michigan Wildcats (0-16-0) in league play. Friday night's game at 7:07pm, Saturday night at 6:07pm. Both games available to stream on Midco.

Look, this isn't a hard preview to write. NMU is winless entering December. They are going to play more and more desperately in search of their first win, and we're in the crosshairs. It's a dangerous spot for us to be in, as a young squad. However, as the better team, it's important that we focus on playing our game and do everything we need to to walk out of the weekend with all 6 points heading into the holiday break.

Go Falcons!

The trappiest two games to ever exist, right before the holiday break no less. NMU played Minnesota State pretty hard this past weekend so I don't expect this to be an easy series.

Yuk. So Blake with McKinley and Lonergan as the extra D?

Might just be the break Lonergan needs to break into the lineup? I will say, this has been the best Blake has looked since he came here.

Line chart has 13F and 7D. Whynott and Lonergan are the extras. Game time decision as Willy always dresses an extra for warmups.

Pretty lousy period. Not much went our way. Outhustled, outworked, outshot.

2-0 Wildcats. Getting punked at home by the worst team in college hockey.

How are we getting outplayed in every aspect of the game by a team with 0 wins

We can’t bury our breakaway, Cats bury theirs.

Having both Gus and Nieds out at the same time is noticeable.

Skating for 2. At some point, they have to start calling holding penalties, right?
