Skating for 2. At some point, they have to start calling holding penalties, right?
Work ethic draws calls. It's been piss poor by BG tonight.

Refs might get fired if they call a holding penalty in the CCHA

7 min of PP and nothing to show for it. Not our night.

A diving penalty with under 6 to go sums up this game rather nicely.

It's the refs fault though.

Unacceptable loss. Good teams take care of business at home against the worst in the country. The program will be taken seriously when it doesn't lose these kind of games.

Brutal loss.

#1 way to never get to next level or win your league. LOSE TO TEAMS YOU SHOULD BEAT, NIAGARA INCLUDED IN THAT.

Show me that number recruiting class. Awful loss. Keep making excuses, new coach, same ole results.

Wasn’t even a fun game to watch. Every dump there was a grab, every battle in the corner took forever to resolve and then guys get pinned to the boards for 5 seconds after, took so long to drop the puck on every faceoff.

This was a bad loss. Bad for NPI, Bad for CCHA standings. Huge opportunity lost with Bemidji and St. Thomas losing. And Princeton winning.

So what if they’re holding. Fight through it. Got a breakaway? Bury it. Get 6 straight minutes of PP? Bury one. You gotta give it to Northern, they came to play.

With that said, the puck was bouncing over our sticks all night. Opportunities last week that resulted in goals hopped over our sticks tonight.

In the coaches talk Nicholson said Willie’s analytics said to drop Morneau to the second line. At the start of the second he was back up with Emerson and Rymon.

Rough game last night. They bounced back well in the third though, that goalie held onto it for them

NPI at luck drop last night: 16. Current NPI: 24. NPI had we won: 14. That’s a 10-point swing. And Augie would be at 15 so the CCHA would have had 3 in. Yeah, yeah, long way to go. But what could have been…

Even with 3 different coaches over the past (I don't know how many) years, it seems like BG has this propensity for losing one or two home games each year against teams they should never, ever lose to. So, it's deeper than who the coach is; something is off here.

Willy mentioned last night about a lack of buy in from some guys. My only concern about going after CHL players is that major Canadian junior hockey is much different than the college game. NMU really mucked things up last night and BG seemed less than interested in attempting to fight through it.

I had high hopes for one of the early CHL signees. His performance last night and this year is in line with your rehash of Willys comments.
