100% Agree. Was talking to people around my seats and the consensus was we should be good enough it host a second round game. 2 out of 6 points this weekend will keep us in the 3rd to 5th mode, much like the last decade.

Huge opportunity lost to move up in the standings with Tommies, Bemidji and now Mankato losing this weekend.

We were #15 in the new NPI before the weekend.

We are now #29.

If we would have won both games......#13

We arethen talking about serious consideration for an at-large bid. It may take us most of the second half of the year to get back to #13, that's if you don't stumble again to some under achieving team.

Exactly the reason why the WCHA imploded. We all saw the way Northern was allowed to play (124 minutes played, ZERO holding penalties called). Ironically, a major reason the original WCHA didn't survive the creation of the B1G.

Good teams fight through the clutching and grabbing. All excuses. BG had plenty of opportunities to score on the power play in the series and didn't, so the incessant complaining about the officiating falls on deaf ears if the team can't capitalize on it.

Keep doing the same s**t over and over and wonder why the league keeps falling further behind. This isn't the 80s any more. The way the game is played has changed. There is zero reason this level should be called any different than the NHL, especially if you're trying to develop players to move to the next level. Good teams "fight through it," but the best leagues don't even allow it. NHL teams don't even want their prospects playing in the CCHA. Maybe the league should do something and try to change that.

League is falling behind because of the resources most schools don't have. No coincidence that UST is getting out with a new facility and financial commitment. BG has next to zero NIL money to attract talent, as I'm sure most other CCHA schools don't. The quality of gameplay in the league is a reflection of the talent level playing in it, not because of how the league is being officiated.
