Terrible fifth for Towns to pick up. We've missed him this half and now we're going to have to rely on Leach

So sad to fumble away the game after a very well played game.

Man, just didn't make enough plays down the stretch. THe possession that ended with the step back brick 3 by Campbell was especially rough.

Final shot sure as hell looked like a foul, but guess you're not going to get that call.

Can't be real upset about that one. That's a good KSU team. The MAC is tough this year and we seemingly get the top of the conference every game thus far...

Disappointing execution down the stretch although I liked the final play. Campbell shouldn't be taking a three or passing up a shot and someone has to grab the ball when we have four chances at it. Considering towns was in foul trouble and we were down a guy and a half it was an impressive effort to have a chance to win at Kent. Would have been a huge win to be 3-1

Need to make hay in that stretch and take care of business.

Hopefully they use this as motivation to push through and take down Akron on Friday. They played really well and lost to a quality opponent. It’s good to see the MAC at this level once again

The UMass and Kent games were two of the more entertaining BGSU games I’ve seen in years. For all that is wrong with the MAC (most of it), this season has some pretty dang good teams at the top who play an exciting style. Maybe the new system keeps coaches in the MAC longer and thus it keeps the level higher. Anyway, a tough loss but further proof this team can be in the mix in Cleveland. Campbell is a star, but have to figure out the balance of offense vs defense when Thomas and Ruffin get healthy. Wol needs to play a lot. Ruffin wasn’t there so possibly just an illness, did anyone hear anything on that? I said 3-2 in the first five would be a great start. The schedule gets significantly softer after Friday.

This year's team is very different from the teams we've had in the recent past. There's an efficiency, focus, and maturity here. I have a lot more confidence in these guys than I've had in a long time.

I was at the game last night and boy, that was as high-level of a game I've seen in BG be a part of since our battles with the ranked Buffalo teams in 2019 and 2020 (RIP 2020 season).

Both teams really brought it and was a fight to the end.

If you tell me before the game that we shoot 40% from 3, 87% from the line, and win the Rebound and turnover battles, I'd tell you we win the game going away, but alas, Kent shot it a little bit better, and we didn't make the plays in the end against a very good Kent team. Still hurts when you know you were one loose ball secured away from getting that win though.

I do feel like we win that game with a healthy Ruffin and Thomas. Leach made some nice plays but also looked like a freshman at times, especially on defense and Kent frequently attacked him (and Wol).

There's going to be 3 days of REALLY good MAC basketball in Cleveland in March, and we're going to be right in the thick of it if we can get/stay healthy. I'm also sticking by my prediction that we'll be 8-4 going into the home matchup vs Toledo in February.

I agree. I was there as well and it was one of the best games I've seen in a long time. KSU is REALLY good and if we took them wire to wire on their floor? Sheet we are right there with them. That last layup KSU got was a gut punch on the loose ball. We had the ball for a split second and somehow the KSU player scooped it up.

We are a damn fun team to watch...

I've seen a few bracket projections have the MAC as a two-bid league this year. I doubt that comes to fruition, but even the thought of that over the last 10 years has been laughable and it is not this year. Miami, Akron, Kent, Buffalo and BG are legitimately talented teams. Go figure the year we have the most talent in years is the same year we have the stiffest path to break the streak.

9 teams in the top 200 in KenPom. Can't remember the last time the league was this deep. There's gonna be a pretty good team that misses out on Cleveland. Gotta take care of business and make sure it isn't us!
