I’m not convinced about the accuracy of these numbers (or at least the completeness of the schools included). I know of two state universities not on this list (including one I worked for) that frequently used private jets for recruiting, conferences, etc. Unless the jets were donated by donors or owned by the university, their costs would have been closer to $1mm.

I have to imagine a lot of that was Eddie flying to events and other things. Filming stuff for the Heisman House commercials, going to the Heisman ceremony. Going to CFB Hall of Fame stuff. Seems like he does a lot of public speaking engagements too, judging by his social media posts. And that's not even mentioning recruiting, part of the actual job.

When you hire a celebrity coach, it kinda comes with the territory. Not saying it's good or bad, but I'm not shocked by it.
