Big, physical and aggressive D Man. He had 4 majors this year, but only 1 would have been a 5 outside college hockey. Those accounted for 60 of his 98 penalty minutes. Has a heck of a shot also. https://x.com/CCHAHockey/status/2010129 ... 70351?s=20

Contract details here:
Signing bonus totaling $211,000
AHL Salary of $85k
Total contract is $2M over 2 years.

According to that article, it sounds like Gus’ mom might have to foot that bill.

In all fairness, I'd like to think he'd get a pass this year. But, that's probably a very common ELC (not sure the league maximum). Whenever the NIL amounts come up, realize that a player able to play in the AHL is going to make $85k/year.

I'd be working this guy for One Day:

Barry Schutte wins the ACHA national championship (held at Lindenwood) over Adrian 3-1.

Adrian had played something like 4 games in 5 days before squaring off against OU in the final.

Mitch McLain had a hatty for the Henderson Silver Knights last night. They beat Calgary 8-3. Mitch was the first star of the game!

Yep. Because the new professional way is to fight after a clean check. Haven't been able to watch much due to an event, but looks like he's about the only one to show life tonight.

Goose's first professional point. He added a second assist on the third period on a very similar play. Shots from the point and hit a teammate unknowingly and went in the net.

Second assist:

After a little bit of a rough first two games, he has managed to work himself onto the penalty kill, and was eating a lot of minutes this weekend.

Goose's first professional goal is an empty net shorty, with 13 minutes left in the 3rd.

Adam Smith won another league title in Germany this season. I think that’s like 3 or 4 years in a row that he’s been on a championship winning team in Europe. Good to see Falcons doing well around the globe.

Sean Walker is halfway to the Cup following the Hurricanes sweep of the Flyers this weekend.
