Now you've got me picturing this... the mental image in my head is of about five or six of our teeny little hundred-pounds-or-less fliccs dangling off one of the football players, trying desperately to slow him down while getting dragged across the field...McMetz811 wrote:THIS WOULD BE AWESOME!!!! I could see you little flicc players flying 15 yards across the field as our linemen hit you. It would awesome and something I'd pay to watch!!!

"Flicc" is just a contraction of "flute" and "picc." More flute than picc nowadays, thank you all that is good and holy. A 4:1 ratio is quite enough for one sectional room.MiamiBando wrote:So, flicc? who is this? Something I should know?

My wife is the classically trained musician in the family, but I have to say that I love marching band music at athletic events. There's nothing else like it. I've really enjoyed that Noah has been able to see the band play at four of the five games he's attended (Temple being the only exception); better yet, he really loves it, too. We often listen to "Pride" when we're driving in the Suburban or even while we're playing Hot Wheels in the family room.ZiggyZoomba wrote:I think when I first set this website up and included a band forum, some people snickered at me... but I'm so glad that you all are using it.I think the band is such an integral part of college athletics, a college athletics website would be incomplete without a section for the bandos!!
The sun always shines on the Falcon Marching Band!!
Mellophones rule!!

You guys came to the Doyt for the 2003 MACC. (*shudders at the memory of that game*) But you didn't have all your members, so you didn't march, just performed a "park and blow." I believe our student section mooned you. Sorry 'bout that.MiamiBando wrote: Have any of you seen MUMB?
Oh, we know. We know. I didn't even feel like I could legitimately mock them (which made me mad, cuz I was looking forward to heckling them) because they were so... pitiful. I would have felt bad for them, if it hadn't been UT.MiamiBando wrote:At the MACC in Detroit we got a kick out of UT's band. SOOOO bad.
I'm a flute player. If you know your band politics, you'll know that's the end of the discussion.golfertk14 wrote:Oh, do you have a thing against trumpets?
