I rather like the tower at the bottom of the picture, and the building beside it, is that the Hockey Arena? Sorry, I am an aspiring architect. Miami DOES make for interesting architecture. All this brick, and ancient buildings. Well, a few at least. My ONLY gripe, is that when you walk in you go from 18th/19th century feel to 70's or 60's or whenever the building was built or renovated. The turquoise tile, the fake wood pannelling... yuck. My ONLY gripe. Dern TIME WARP! The dorms are VERY nice though, I have never been in BG's.
Darn, how do you put pictures on here.....

the tall building in question at the bottom of the photo is the administration building. the building to the north is shatzel hall, one of the original residence halls at bg normal, and now home to departmental offices for many foreign language departments. the building to the south of the administration building is founders, which serves as a residence hall and offers suite syle living. the ice arena is far to the east, and not pictured in this photo.

Huh. I've always thought sidewalks are pretty cool. Miami should try them sometime.MiamiBando wrote: and dislike concrete EVERYwhere.

If my memory serves me, I believe I once heard Miami not only has sidewalks, but they are heated so as to melt ice/snow.FliccGirl wrote:Huh. I've always thought sidewalks are pretty cool. Miami should try them sometime.MiamiBando wrote: and dislike concrete EVERYwhere.![]()
Could be wrong though. . .
