2005 Schedule?

Post by It's the Journey... »

I was just wondering if anyone had the 2005 football schedule. I am trying to plan my road trips since I will most likely not be in state next season. This is all I have thus far.
9/3 @ Wisconsin
9/17 @ Boise State
10/1 w/ Temple

ANY help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Now, everyone remember to be nice to each other...

F04, we are all still waiting on the conference schedule to be released. Those non-conference games are the only ones that have dates associated with them thus far.

The reason I bring it up is because it has been passed out to the players. The hotel I work at keeps getting calls for reservations for home games. Since it is out to them I was just curious if I had missed it's relaase.

Do any of you see us getting any home games before the temple game?
I hated that last year when the majority of our home games didn't happen until late october!! makes for some cold tailgating !!

What dates are you getting calls for?

The new BGSU Alumni magazine listed October 1 against Temple, as being homecoming. It is possible they have a new tentative schedule out, they typically stick once they are out.

Here is what I posted about a month ago after researching other MAC schools OOC schedules:

"Forgot to check Boise St's schedule and they play on the 10th already so can't move that game to the 14th. It would have to be the 21st. So that leaves us:
9/3 @ Wisconsin
9/10 Toledo, @ Miami, @ Ball State, or OPEN
9/17(21) @ Boise St.
9/24 (if Boise still on 17) we would have to have a home game given the above and doubt that we would play UT so early in the season. That leaves OU, Akron, and WMU. Akron and WMU both open with two road games before this date so doubt they would be happy with three in a row on the road so I put Ohio in here. Or OPEN if we play at Miami or Ball State on 9/10.
10/1 Temple at home
Wide open after that. My inkling is we go to Muncie on 9/10 and don't play on 9/24. That gives us our home opener and homecoming on the same day. Unless of course, we get asked to play Southern Cal in the Eddie Robinson, Coaches Against Cancer, Nokia season opener presented by Microsoft on 8/27 at the Doyt."

I still think the Boise St game will be on Sept 20 or 21, not Saturday 9/17. So that means our only open Saturday before Oct 1 is 9/10. Given the available opponent (UT, Miami, and Ball State), I am betting that Temple is also the home opener and that we play at Ball State on 9/10, unless of course they change their OOC schedule, which I heard is a reason for a hold up in the release of the MAC schedule. I heard Ball St's OOC schedule is brutal and they are trying to switch out a game for a home game with a I-AA opponent.

All the school's AD's have received a copy of the football schedule to make final touches. If you have a question about the schedule ask the athletic dept.

Thanks for grinding through all the schedule minutae to give us some realistic scenarios!

I'm getting more serious about bailing out of the Temple game since it's homecoming. If the Snobcats visit the Doyt in September, that would make an awesome roadie. Can't wait for the release of the release of the official schedule!

Those dates are probably already known.
