Sooner Fans Unhappy with Falcons Dirty Play?
No doubt stuff like this happens, but two "wrongs" still do not equal a "right." I'd rather see our guys point it out to the officials than retaliate like that. A counter retaliation could lead to your QB lost for the season on a cheap shot because you "punched someone in the junk." I don't like seeing it no matter who started it. Make the opponent pay on the scoreboard, not with a cheap shot. That type of payback will last forever and won't cost you 15 yards.

True, but
cooler heads don't always prevail on the field in the heat of the battle. Another reason why officiating is needed. Complaining to the officials after the fact usually does little good. The guilty party will know they are being watched and clean up their act. This is why it is important for officials to be on top of their game and why they can't overlook calls like holding. I have always seen that when officials of any sport overlook calls, it turns into players taking things in their own hands. It is part of the officials job to keep the game clean and a few whistles will go a long way. In the end, I am not saying cheap shots are OK. I am saying that it happens on both sides of the ball.
