Beer at games, now thats a GREAT idea  Does anyone here remember the Cleveland Browns game when it rained beer bottles? Or how about the full cup of Beer that found its way into Ron Artest's face? I am not saying that it would happen here but lets not rule out the possibility. Anything can happen in the heat of the moment and I don't want BG to be compared to anything in Detroit. Leave the beer for before and after the game.

We don't need to be henny-penny, chicken-little about the idea of a few beers being sold at games. Just because beer is sold at an event doesn't mean that civility will fall by the wayside. Just consider 99.9% of all events where alchohol is sold. However, I think a limit (2) would be wise, and that none should be sold after the 10 minute mark in the second half.

To paraphrase a famous quote from this site..."I will eat a bug if BGSU ever allows alcohol to be sold at sporting events." Never gonna happen so just buy a 6-pack on the way home after the game.
I like that steak comes from cows. That is why a cow will not think twice about eating you.

I know it's not gonna happen, but somebody asked for suggestions and that is mine. I think that its a great way to bring in extra revenue, and I happen to like both beer & sports.

I'd like to second the notion about lesbian porn as well. I'd have to believe it goes pretty well with basketball as well :)

And what's wrong with that??? That is very common among the maggot section (if you happen to need clarification...ask on the band board!!) :P actually, it may be a low brass thing, you'll have to ask those on the band board if you truly want to know more

You are onto the most important thing here.

People in this thread are talking about 7,000, 10,000 or 12,000 seats. The result -- unless Bowling Green is incredibly innovative about it -- will be the anti-Anderson.

I watched a couple of Bowling Green games at Buffalo's Alumni Arena. That place is big -- and with 1,000 fans in there, the excitement never even reached the walls (much less bounced off of them).

It isn't just the seating. Since BGSU is billing this as a convocation center (con vo cate - to convoke, to call together) intended for hosting graduations, concerts and other mass meetings (e.g., the American Legion's Buckeye Boys State), it isn't hard to imagine that some attention will be paid to acoustics.

This may end up the House that Snores.

Miami's Millett Hall is very acoustically friendly.

Ask Miami basketball fans how they feel about that.

Hey...

I like the Tomb. WE go 14-1 in a season at home. Teams don't know how to HANDLE Millett. I just wish it was more fan friendly. The track annoys me. But the seats are nice. Although the lighting is for a TOMB. The place looks small from the outside, you walk in, and it feels HUGE. The stoic crowds don't help either. Miami fans have no expression... just sit and watch. Rise clap for the fight song. Sit down again. It makes an AWESOME concert venue though. We get all sorts of big name acts. Not all I have to say about Millett..but it isn't appropriate. Not a Miami board, and none of you care.

Millett seats um... like 10,000 overflow for 11,000 I think. They could probably squeeze close to 11,500 or so in if they REALLY wanted too. I would LOVE to see that. It would be so LOUD! the TCU game was the BEST crowd I have EVER seen at a Miami game. They were the exact polar opposite of the classic Miami crowd.

I think that your hall should seat about 7-9,000 with capacity being about 10-11,000 with added seats for a concert/ graduation, etc. I think that not all halls are like Millett. Look at OhioU's Convo. Nice place.
