Hoping I can work out something with my siblings to "cover" my hospital duty with my dad on that Sat..... If all goes well, my usual pineapple, strawberries, brats etc. will be available to all.
Mike,
Let me know what your plans are...hate to drive up alone if I don't have to...Joyce is committed to BG, but a special mother - daughter bit with her Soph. daughter and roommates etc..

Got your message on other thread... As I mentioned there, my dad's back in hospital...I'll need coverage from my sister or brother to take over for my hospital duty that day...will let you know ASAP.

I fired up the fryer yesterday to make some french fries to go with some burgers on the grill. The thing worked perfectly (of course) and I've got some fresh oil. I also have a couple bags of pizza rolls that I'll be busting out for the game. I can probably bring some meet for the grill if ya'll are gonna have your grills as well.

Of course there will be a cooler full of ice cold beer.

Anybody up for some wings? We can either throw em in ham's oil, or RC and I can do some "no-peek" on the Weber. Tasty either way. If we do latter and someone's got some good hot sauce   , bring it on!!!!

I love wings, and you're more than welcome to throw 'em in the fryer. Done 'em before and they usually turn out pretty good that way :)

Any time man!

Do you dip them in batter of some sort first? I have read about them, but I don't frequent fairs too much, and have never tried them. I used to have a recipe somewhere for deep fried twinkies, but I lost it :( They had some sweet batter you dipped them in, then fried them, apparently they're pretty good.

Maxim one time did an article about breading & deep frying a white castle burger...bet that was awesome (as a HUGE White Castle fan).

Anyone is always welcome to throw something into the hot grease as an experiment. Pizza Rolls started out that way on a hunch that it'd be good. They have turned into a tailgating staple...they're so good, that I can hardly eat them in the oven anymore...instead I just wait until I can fire up the fryer to make 'em! :)

Not anymore. I let my subscription expire, because I didn't seem to have time to get through them anymore, its a very content-rich magazine.

Hilarious articles, interesting topics, and plus some nice pictures. It was always an interesting magazine :)

If you know where to look, you can get free subscriptions to Maxim, Stuff, and FHM online! I have them all coming through 2009
