You know Scott? Now I know how you became a b@ll buster.

It's interesting that you can still smile, however.

question: where is South OlmstED?
Right by East Virginia.

Actually, I was in the library yesterday in N.O. and I re-read the story. The town was called Lenox. A dude from CT donated 500 books to the township to form a library. They arrived on Oxcart and formed the legendary Oxcart library. In his honor they renamed the region "Olmsted." The region is comprised of Olmsted Falls, Olmsted Twp. and North Olmsted.

:P

I only met Scott a few times, his dad, Bud, was my band director. We went to go see Scott and the BGSU MB concert at anderson arena in 1989 or 1990. It was fun.

It's always been my experience that job interviews never go well as you want, however often turn out alright. I am sure that you are a great teacher. We've never met, and I don't know you, but you seem like the type of person that knows how to teach and truly enjoys teaching. I'm sure that at least some of that came across in your interview. If I can get that from a few posts on the internet, I'm sure that radidates from you in real life. I wish you the best of luck with your job pursiuts. Hopefully you will get it, and I will be fortunate enough to have the privillage to come and observe you sometime.
Thanks goof...I appreciate it. My family keeps telling me stuff like that and reminding me that I felt that way after all my teaching interviews.

I am a good teacher, I know that....I took a band program that was nothing and built it up to very good in only four years. I produced 7 music majors during my time there. At least 10% of my band planned on majoring in music at any given time. Imagine that percentage in larger schools....

Oh well. If they liked what I said, I will be back. The wait just might kill me.

the worst part about that whole process is that I never got to mention forwardmarch.org. Duh.

My dad bowls with Kepperly, maybe I will hear something else tonight.

I don't know why that makes me laugh but it does. Maybe Kep was going to go bowling with your dad the day that we decided to have pep band on his front lawn. He walked outside with his ball and bag with a very interesting look on his face.

What's going on with that, by the way? Any new updates?

We are trying to organize a marching band show in NE ohio as a fundraiser, however local stadiums have been hard to deal with. (understatement)

We have also done some modifications to the stadium design, and we are working a little bit on the musuem. Forming a non-profit is expensive, and I will not have any "extra" $$$ until summer.

We are planning a summer push to get a lot more kids involved. They just aren't thinking about marching band right now. They get fired up real soon, and we are going to try and ride that wave. We are going to have a huge "organizational meeting" (or several meetings in different locations). To try and build up our membership/ list of volunteers.

It is mostly paperwork and behind the scenes stuff. You will see more soon.

That's funny as hell.

Kep got off easy with us - Malchus was the target of our fun. He usually got a bunch of pizzas "delivered" to his mailbox. Sometimes they were "delivered" on his lawn. Sometimes the topings were eaten off of them.

My best kepperly moment was when he broke up me and my girlfriend up from making out in the stands at a pep rally. It was friggin embarrassing. I didn't really want to make out at that time but I couldn't really stop her...[sarcasm]it is* so difficult to be this sexy[/sarcasm].

Okay, so going into my junior year I was dating this kid (Falcon30, the guy that you and I both know, you remember?) and he broke up with me because, and I quote, "As a senior and knowing I am going to be leaving all my friends soon, its not like I want to spend less time with you, but I want to spend more time with them." (Yeah, burn, I know. Or, "SLICE" as some may take it! ;)) Anyway, everyone knew we were dating, Kep included, as I was a section leader and he was the drum major. Well, not a lot of people knew right away that we broke up, because really, who brags about those things? And that also included Kep. So one day, he comes up to me and says, in his most Kepperly voice, "Why has Jason been spending so much time with Kate*? You shouldn't let your boyfriend do that." I was mortified, but not as much as he was, I'm sure, when I burst into tears in the band hallway. He never brought it up again, and when I broke up with him after we had gotten back together a few months later, I made sure to let Kep in on it.

I still think it is crazy that I meet just two people from NO and they dated. I guess Kepperly needs to back off the teenage relationships a bit  Did you know his sons at all?

OK - so I just deleted a bunch of embarrassing and personal stuff about Kepperly, his kids, me a bunch of girls and a plastic dinosaur doll.

I will leave it like that and just forget it.

I did not know his sons very well. We only met a few times and that was ages ago.

And now you have to tell us about the plastic dinosaur... Seriously.

No - I don't expect to hear anything until May. They are plowing through 50 candidates.
