Is Minnesota that good, or is Toledo's defense that bad?

Discussion of the Falcon football team.

They are still dangerous on offense and until I see us tackle and put pressure on a QB consistently, I'm not overlooking them especially on their turf.
Option,
the Rockettes will win games this year but I said all along how bad their defense is. UT thinks they can just outscore other teams....One TD and a couple junk TD's late vs Minny. I still say BG will beat UT at the No Class Bowl.

As far as BG tackling and putting pressure consistently on the QB...remember that was the Sooners offense out there. There ain't a team on the sked that comes close to that powerhouse offense. Kinda hard to get pressure on White with all 5 O linemen returning from last year and averaging 320 lbs.

I guess I don't understand why I shouldn't feel confident...The NIU game is gonna be big and I'm confident BG can win.

Words of "wisdom" from their fearless leader....

Post by Falcon Fanatic »

Numnutz, in a short radio interview at the half, said it was "first half jitters" .....and the halftime score was 42-7????

What a moron.
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

You don't need to pressure Gradkowski to beat UT. Just stay in his passing lanes and you'll foul that offense up plenty.

I tried to warn the Rockette fans that I know that they were being overly optimistic. They're trying to relace too many linemen on both sides of the ball to warrant all the preseason hype they received . They're still a threat in the MAC west, but they are by no means this year's Miami.

Be sure and share what the students have to say about their embarrassing loss. It could be an interesting day for you around Bancroft High.

I would, which im sure would be something like "Hey Shu(me), how'd BG do this weekend? harrharrharr..." My typical reply would be somethign of this sort "Well <insert bad fan/sport> , they lost to possibly the best team in the county, on the road, by 2 TD's, with a brand new QB. How'd UT do? O wait, they were down 42-7 at the half, already letting up more points to a worse team than BG let up all game to a better team, but I guess that UT is still better than BG since they just had the first half jitters right?"
...etc...etc...etc

Basically I have no respest for anyone in Toledo as far as sports go. They are all osu fans, then UT fans, then probably bertuzzi fans or something. Our sports discussions are lacking any type of debate to them, you all know how osu fans are, and will not admit that any of their teams have ever been less than perfect, this then spreads to every part of their pathetic debating skills, I really can't stand it to be honest. (as if it isn't already clear)

Unfortunatly I will have no real insight on the UT opinion as I currently live in Cincinnati for the semester. I have a co-op at Cinergy(Cinci. gas & electric) so I'm down here. I will be of course coming back for Falcon football, begining with this weeks woodshed game.

One final thing- I know I've been posting again for a couple weeks now, but it's good to be back after an extended absence from AZZ.com. I liek the new site a lot. If anyone has an archive of Avatars that I could pilfer one from I'd appreciate it.

GO FALCONS!!!!!!!
