or the other impartial posters on the OU Board. Ask him why the stadium was so quiet for most of the 4th quarter.

OU was better - I don't think anyone here is disputing that - they didn't drill us and it hurts this type of OU fan's pride. Some members of the Sooner nation would literally not know what to talk about if they couldn't pound their chest about football. Before Stoops they were a much more humble (read likeable) group.
The stadium was quiet because we expect perfection, not because we felt threatened. Not saying I agree with it, but our fans booed the team when Baylor was forcing them to punt over and over in the second half even though we led 41-3. We shouldn't have, but it just shows you that our fans have high expectations not that we were worried.

No, you boo b/c stoops is like Tom Amputz, and likes to run up the score on anyone and everyone b/c you think that the worse you beat up teams, the better it makes you are. And you are so used to it, that when you can't, you don't understand that maybe you aren't the all supreme Gods of football, and are unable to do that to some teams. BGSU being one of them. We can compete with you anyday, anywhere, if you like it or not. We aren't Baylor, and we aren't ISU. We are from the MAC, where real football is played.

You don't know a damn thing about Bob Stoops. He doesn't run up the scores on anyone.

Yeah...for the first time I have to agree with CaliSooner....Bob Stoops doesn't run up the score on anybody....when we beat Texas A&M last year 77-0, it got that way before the end of the third quarter...Paul Thompson and all the back-ups had been in for every series except the first series in the third quarter....the third stringers played the whole fourth quarter....the majority of the calls after the game got out of hand were run plays up the middle....at the Baylor game, I don't remember anyone booing and I was at the game for the whole game down in the student section, where if there is booing, it generally comes from there....Bob Stoops is a classy coach, and doesn't run up the score (which against some teams, the students want him to run up the score but he doesn't)....

It's important to note that we had the damn SCOUT TEAM in the game and they still couldn't stop runs up the middle. What the hell are you supposed to do? We didn't throw but 2 or 3 passes in the entire second half. You can't just tell your players to play half-ass, because then your injury risk goes up. The offense couldn't have been more vanilla and they still couldn't stop the backup's backups. Stoops even asked during the fourth quarter that the clock not be stopped just to finish. We got down to their endzone AGAIN, and ran plays that aren't even in the playbook just to keep from scoring--basically telling the O line to stop blocking and the FB to take a dive. Over course than moron J. Jolly celebrates like they made a stop or something!

And yes, unfortuately topdaug, there was booing in the Baylor game. The AP writeup even reported it. It wasn't like the whole stadium was full on booing, but it was noticeable enough. Hope they don't do that again.
