I'm going to make a guess and say that he isn't even considering it really. I don't think he will take it. In the article he mentioned someone else as a good candidate. I'm going to choose not to worry about this one.

This article does quote him verifying that Colorado State is one of the three schools exempt from his buy out.

I fear the question isn't whether he is considering it but whether they are. He's got the exemption in his contract for that, so he obviously finds it attractive.

Just like Krebs had OSU on his list..... I think Miller will stay here at BGSU. Why would he want to start on another five year plan when he will be heading into year five ahead of schedule. I feel confident that we have him for a littlw while yet. Once we are a consistent power then he may start to look elsewhere.

Man!

We got some serious Urban Meyer syndrome here at BG. Man never thought we'd be nervous allready about Coach Miller leaving. Interesting that CSU is exempted from the buyout clause. Why does Krebs do this? Why not just insist on guys that want to be here until they fufill their contract? I want to believe that Miller wouldnt' want take off and try to build another 5-year plan at another school , but he does seem to have personal attraction to Colorado St. One thing is for sure if attendance doesn't pick up considerably this next season after coming of a 22-9 season with a Mac Season and Tourney Championships, then I wouldn't be surprised if Miller looks elswhere. There's no reason why we shouldn't average around 1100 or so for the ladies with all that we've got back this year.

Well, there's always the possibility of a significant salary increase to consider.

I feel Coach Miller will be around for a while yet. He is very young and has this program on the verge of a dynasty. Money isn't everything to some folks...which is nice.

falconboy,
I understand the "Urban Meyer" syndrome you're talking about. On one hand it sucks cuz there are always rumors swirling around. OTOH, it means our coaches are doing things the right way....and winning. When that happens, other schools will always be looking at our coaches. Just the nature of the beast. But it would be nice to see coaches fulfill their contracts like you mentioned. It is difficult in this "Win now or else" era in college athletics. And you're definitely on the mark with the attendance issue. There is no reason this team shouldn't average at least 1,500 per game. Then again, it seems we say that for every sport. :x

I really wouldn't be that surprised if Coach Miller takes an offer to Colorado State. I see Coach Miller as a coach who cares dearly about his players and BG but I can also see him wanted to persue bigger and better things while his stock is high.

Yes, given what the team has accomplished, his sights should be set MUCH higher in terms of career advancement down the line.
