I think Mo first trotted out the Poe ditch rat against East Carolina in '89 or so.

I'd give White the nod as the 3rd best QB in school history. The tougher question may be figuring where Magner fits on the list of Falcon WR's. We've been lucky to have a number of very good QB's, but I think we've had even more great WR's

Here's a bonus question:

What did Dave Wottle forget to do after he won his gold medal in 1972?

Damn, Schad, beat me to it. It was a golf hat - specifically, was it not?

I see you folks were only stumped on a couple of questions. That was the point, really.
Schadenfreude wrote:Falcon fans will know the answers. Morons like Calisooner won't.

1. Name the man in this picture:

Image
Obviously, that's Doyt Perry.
2. When was the Fat Punter Game played, and who was the opponent?

BONUS: Name the Fat Punter.
Another gimmie. This was the final game of the 1994 season against Central Michigan. The punter was Craig Fischer.
3. Phil Villapiano, a standout Bowling Green linebacker who went on to star for the Oakland Raiders during the 1970s, once drew a flag in a Falcon bowl game. Name the bowl game.
The 1991 California Bowl. The former NFL star got so excited he ran onto the field and started backslapping players, drawing a penalty (and the ire of Gary Blackney).
4. True/false: Inspired by the mighty Cleveland Browns teams of the 1940s and 1950s, Bowling Green adopted brown and orange as its colors, too.
False. The Browns first training camp was in Bowling Green; it is said Paul Brown liked BGSU's orange and brown colors so much, he used them for his own team.
5. What is the "Miami Whammy?"
Acceptable answers:

-- That 10 game winless streak against Miami from 1973-1982.
-- In general, Bowling Green's inability to beat Miami in big games.
6. Before last weekend's Bowling Green/Oklahoma game, when was the last time the Falcons played on over-the-air network television. BONUS: Name the score of the game.
The 1992 Bowling Green-Ohio State game was on ABC. Ohio State won 17-6.
7. Marshall University left the MAC once before. Why?
Marshall was thrown out in the late 1960s. Herd fans will argue it is because they sucked badly, and there is probably some truth to that. But the official reason was the 144 (or so) NCAA violations. Marshall boosters flew in potential players from all over the country and held tryout so they could compete for the 15 or 20 scholarships the Herd would be offering that year. The more recent business -- about players working $25 an hour janitorial jobs for a booster who allowed coaches to hand out the paychecks at the football office -- pales by comparison.
8. Name the TWO greatest quarterbacks in Bowling Green history.

Josh Harris and Brian McClure.
9. True/false: Former Bowling Green quarterback Don Nehlen quit his job as head coach of the Falcons to take the head coaching job at West Virginia.
False. His contract wasn't renewed so he took a job as an assistant at Michigan. I've heard people say a pretty big factor was that he forgot the number of downs in a cruicial situation against Miami.
10. Name the members of the MAC in 1960.
Ohio, Miami, Kent State, Bowling Green, Toledo, Western Michigan and Marshall.
11. Bowling Green's first bowl game was against Fresno State in the 1961 Mercy Bowl, held in the Los Angeles Collesium. Why was Bowling Green invited to play in that game?
In 1960, Bowling Green whipped Cal Poly-San Luis Obisbo 50-6.On the way back to California, the Cal Poly plane crashed. This inspired the Mercy Bowl, which served as a benefit for a local hospital.
12. Before Perry Stadium was built, the Falcons played in University Stadium. Where was it located?
Between the Business Administraton and Education buildings. Nice work, everyone.
13. What was the "Poe Ditch Rat?"
Moe Ankney's version of the pole cat.
14. Bowling Green has a winning record against every team in the MAC save one. Which one?
Miami
15. Name Bowling Green's career interceptions leader.
Martin Bayless, who went on to have a long career with the Kansas City Chiefs, had 27, a phenominal number. Not only is that the MAC record -- the next guy on the list (Lou Harris, who played at Kent State in the mid-1960s) has just 19.
16. What color was the Falcon logo during the ESPN telecast of the 1992 Las Vegas Bowl?
Image
17. When Bo Schembechler and Woody Hayes wanted to meet each other halfway, whose house did they stop at?
Doyt Perry's house.
18. Some tailgaters stand on Bill's Hill. Who is Bill's Hill named for?
President William Jerome, who had it constructed to make the golf course more interesting.
19. Bowling Green football was only ranked once during the 20th century. When?
Freak had it right: In 1985, immediately before the California Bowl. The answer about being ranked in the 1982 Division I-AA poll is accurate, I guess, but not what I was looking for :)
20. How many MAC titles has Bowling Green won?
Ten -- for now.
