Softball rails IPFW!!

4-0 and 8-0 this afternoon! The 2nd game only lasted 6 innings with the mercy rule which is always fun to see as long as BG is on top. The two shutouts also make 4 straight over the weekend. Go Falcons!

Mercy Rule: one of the reasons I prefer softball over baseball.

How is the Mercy rule only 8 runs? Teams have come back from 8 runs on more than one occasion. Anyone remember that Indians/Mariners game a few year back? 8 runs seems a little low for a "mercy" rule.

If the rules aren't different in college, 15 after 5, 8 after 6.

GREAT!!!! 4 straight wins, all by shutout!! BG within 3 games of the .500 mark for the year.

BG now 17-20, 5-4 MAC with a DH at Oakland tomorrow...then off to Akron for 2 on Wed. I doubt I'll be able to get back home from work in time to see them play the Zips. But, BG hosts EMU this weekend and after the spring football game, the Freaklings and I are gonna take in Game 2 of Saturday's DH...Game 1 starts at 1pm.
