BALL STATE A NIGHT GAME!
According to BSU's website, the 9/10 game in Muncie is a 7pm kick.
Kind of crappy for those planning to make a day trip of it, or those like me that were hoping for a noon kick and at least catch a couple hours before heading to work. *sigh*

it has to do with freshmen. it was instituted because some study showed that around mid october, freshmen start to become homesick and overwhelmed with college. a lot of schools are introducing a break in october so freshmen can cope better with college.Falconfreak90 wrote:A question...

TO BILL BRASKY!!!!
Next they'll be turning finals week into "optional multiple choice take home quiz week", and diplomas will be handed out at the orientation meeting.BGFalcons232 wrote:it has to do with freshmen. it was instituted because some study showed that around mid october, freshmen start to become homesick and overwhelmed with college. a lot of schools are introducing a break in october so freshmen can cope better with college.

About the fall break thing, I believe the reason for it was that freshmen were all going out and getting drunk because they had to be on campus like 2 or 3 days before everyone else. To fix this problem the school just started earlier and then gave students a break a little later in the year. I could be wrong but that's the story I’ve been told.

Re: BALL STATE A NIGHT GAME!
Yeah, I was hoping for an afternoon game. That would be ideal for bringing the family and making a day trip. Oh well, I guess now I can work on making the trip with out the kids and wife. wait, that means more beer I can drink and less trips with a 5 & 3 yr old to the stadium potty. Maybe this is a good thinkTG1996 wrote:According to BSU's website, the 9/10 game in Muncie is a 7pm kick.

Is it called "Candyasses run home to Mama" on the fall schedule? If not, it probably should...BGFalcons232 wrote:it has to do with freshmen. it was instituted because some study showed that around mid october, freshmen start to become homesick and overwhelmed with college. a lot of schools are introducing a break in october so freshmen can cope better with college.Falconfreak90 wrote:A question...

Re: BALL STATE A NIGHT GAME!
We usually make one game an overnight just for fun. The night game might be OK. Head over to Muince Saturday AM, goof around in the hotel pool in the PM, head to the game, get up in the AM and comeback. Might be OK. Is the Buffalo game a day game or a night game? That could have Niagara Falls element.PGY Tiercel wrote:Yeah, I was hoping for an afternoon game. That would be ideal for bringing the family and making a day trip. Re: BALL STATE A NIGHT GAME!
That could be a possibility, though unlikely with a trip to some island off north carolina for a wedding in september, I doubt my wallet will allow for it. My parents live in Perrysburg so home games should be pretty easy (minus the long drive with a <6mo baby) and the wife's live in Canton, so I should make the kent game as well.orangeandbrown wrote:We usually make one game an overnight just for fun.
