Saturday's Rosters?

Post by BGDrew »

Anybody know who's going to be on what teams for this Saturday? How do they select teams?

They passed out the roster at last year's game. So far as the rosters go, they used to use "eenie, meenie mynie moe" but that was (correctly) deemed racially offensive in 1974 and replaced with rock, paper scissors.

Flip, while I understand what you are saying about "eenie, meenie. . " I bet the younger posters (born after 1975) on this board have no idea why it would be racially insensitive.

Older versions of songs weren't about tigers' toes. They were about something else. Similar spelling to "tiger," starts with the letter n.

The "enie meenie, mynie moe" part -- if there is something offensive in that, I have no idea. Perhaps Flip will edumacate us.

Yes, I was aware of the song being about "Brazillian Nuts" thats why I spelled tiger with 2 G's

I actually remember hearing last year that some grade school got in trouble for doing that even though they used Tiger...like grade school kids would know the other version

Yeah, but they're "stuck" with BJ Lane at RB... Turner gets to hand the ball to Pope and/or Macon...

Perry and Hutcherson are listed...I thought Perry was sitting out and I figured Hutch's "issues" would have lead to his departure...

(man , I really prefer using the ellipse instead of a simple "." don't I....)

I believe it's an ellipsis. An ellipse is an ovular shape...the shape of a planet's orbit.

And I also love to use an ellipsis...
