College Football on the History Channel

Post by SaxyIrishTenor »

So I am watching this awesome show on the history of college football and tailgating.

It just made me feel better knowing that clearly the history geeks at the station are also suffering from serious gridiron withdrawal...

Ain't no such thing as a History geek.

Sure, there are band geeks, science geeks, math geeks, drama geeks, and computer science gee...no, in computer science you call them nerds.

But ain't no such thing as a History geek!

There is an old, little known biblical saying that is buried somewhere deep in Ruth:

Hey, I encourage him to embrace his geekdom... as we all should. Image

My definition has always been that if you're good at something that requires a certain amount of skill or expertise, and it's not a sport, and you enjoy it.... congratulations. You're probably a geek of one kind or another.

Hey, watch it there! I resemble that remark. Technically, I'm a trekker though and not a trekkie. It's mostly related to an age thing, which is mostly tied to the differences between Star Trek and Star Trek NG.

I must be a geek because I actually knew the difference between the two :(

I also was a computer science major.

I also took about 4-5 history classes just because I liked them.

I am clearly king of the geeks...I shoulda been in band :(

Not only do I know the difference between the two, but I'm a science major, I actually like grammar, I'm a Tolkien fan, and a bandie....

You got me, although I am also a Tolkien fan. I don't necessarily like grammar, but I like it to be correct :)
