The beer was pretty blatant. I was sitting low in the south west corner of the stands for a bit in the second half and I saw two 12 packs walk right up the stairs and past me.
I have no problem with what I saw. I love boozing it for games as much as the next fella. But I don't have a problem with cops asking people with beer to leave.
The BGSU police are a million times better than they used to be. I haven't heard of anyone getting a ticket in the parking lot for years, for instance.
In my mind, the parking lot is probably where the booze should stay. If it does, no one is ever going to have a problem.

I'm not upset with the cops for doing their job, espically when some University VP is handing out the orders. No, we didn't really need the beer in the stands, but it was fun and the security at the gate was lax. I'm just upset that we got caught, thats all. You play with fire and eventually you get burned. We got burned (actually most of got sunburned too
) I'm just glad that things went as smoothly for the couple who got asked to leave.

Falcon Fanatic T-Shirts
Hey!!! I think I met you!!!! I stopped by the tailgate briefly (to drop off some hockey stuff to MajorFalcon for his niece's benefit auction tomorrow) and saw that Falcon Fanatic T-shirt!!! I asked you where you got it and you told me that story about getting it from Frieda!!! Nice to meet you!!! ....I REALLY WANT ONE OF THOSE SHIRTS!!!!!!goofyeuph wrote:I was the one in the Falcon Fanatic shirt. For those who want to know where I got it, Freida threw it at me during one of the last basketball games. I spent three years professing my undying love for her and all I get is a T-shirt!!!

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Re: Falcon Fanatic T-Shirts
It was a door tag for the Navy game in 1994. They hung them around all the dorms. Of course, I initially thought of you when I dug it out of an old box, but I've since become quite attached to it.Falcon Fanatic wrote:Ok, I REALLY WANT ONE OF THOSE, TOO!!!!! Where did you get it?
It really would be an awesome idea (as redskins4ever mentioned) to do something like this with a full schedule on it, and maybe not even limit it to the dorms, but drop them on front doors all around town. After all, its just a basic piece of heavy stock paper, with simple printing on it.

Man, you guys were rocking that spring game! Everytime you started doing FF and AZZ I just had to join in. Thanks for making the spring game even better than usual. Sorry ya got the beer taken (poor hammb....he had just opened the 18 pack!) but I can see both sides. Techinically, it isn't supposed to be done and I had one myself. That's the positive thing about the cold weather games...ya can hide barley pops in layers!SaxyIrishTenor wrote:Yep, that was us. Mostly band geeks though...RossfordFalcon wrote:Was that the AZZ group that sang Foward Falcons and AZZ after every score? I thought that was pretty funny.
Any of you still wanna borrow the Freaklings??
I had a blast! The real deal is less than 5 months away.
