I have a couple of comments:

1.) Even as a Rocket fan, I have to admit that that scoreboard pic is great. I think I'll show it to my B10 fan friends tomorrow.

2.) Glad to hear your story BGSUfan. It's good to hear your quest to be an individual. If the MAC schools could get more fans like you, the conference would be a lot more respected. I'm glad that you got to see a couple of BG games on television last year and will be able to do the same this year. I hope you enjoyed last year's UT-BG game on ESPN also. :P

You know for some reason, the second half of that game got completely erased off of my TVReplay box. Ah...BG was up by so much I'm just going to assume we won...

I could give away the ending for you if you'd like... :D

Anyway, BGfan: make sure that you spread the word to your B10 fan friends to keep an eye on the UW-BG game this year. That could be another real exciting one for ya.

BGSUFootballFan wrote:well when i was little my parents always took me to Purdue football games, but then they were really bad, like 3-8 every year, so i wasnt interested much, but my g-pa was a huge ND fan because he grew up in South Bend, so i liked them and still do, but i sorta wanted to get a team of my own to root for, so my g-pa said hey this assistant Urban Meyer is gonna make a heck of a head coach someday, so when he went to Bowling Green, i was like ok im going to root for them, it was a lot of fun and i was really impressed by what he did there, but then he left for Utah and i was devistated, i didnt really want to follow him there cause i had fallen in love with BG, and with Purdue on the schedule for the next season i wanted all of my friends to see who this Bowling Green was that was on my t-shirt that i wore everyday, so of course BG won and all though i still like Urban Meyer and what he has done at Utah, i never trully fell in love, BG fans are great, that atmosphere is great, i love that they are in need of more fans, because thats an area where i can help, so here i am authentic as you can get.. i'll never leave BG's side now, but i do hope that we can hang to Brandon for a few more years!
Going along with everyone else great story and welcome aboard. That BG-Purdue game was also one of the more fun and memorable days of my life. Your grandpa was quite wise in telling you to root for BGSU

the Mrs. & I were there for that historic day.

IMO the greatest game I have attended.

Purdue fans were good after the game. We got heckled from some on fraternity row (for the life of me I can't understand why), but most were good.

What is great about that picture is that is the shot of Harris unleashing the ball after scarmbling and on the video board I superimposed a picture of Sharon coming down with what would turn out to be the game winning touchdown.

I was actually in Chicago that day and kept getting updates from my parents via the cell phone. I also ran in to Ryan Wingrove at Water Tower Place. . .
all bowling green
