Kent has transfer problems too

Post by Warthog »

Guess it doesn't just happen here. Kent has three players that have asked for releases from thier scholarships.

"While he only started one game in his career and didn't crack the playing rotation consistently until the end of his sophomore season, Christian considered Johnson a key to Kent's recent success."

Why did they give this guy a scholarship, or rather why didn't they play him that much?

Golfer,
Can't tell you why someone in another program didn't play a certain player that much, but D.Johnson(Meechie) is the brother of J.Johnson(Juby), who starred at Miami, after both played at Warr.Hts. and Juby for a year at Garf. Hts....also the younger brother of S.Johnson (Sonny), who played originally for CSU, then transferred to OU.... S.Johnson was "MR. Basketball" in Ohio in Sr. yr at Garfield...now one of their coaches... And their father was once Garfield's head coach.

Long and short of it....family has a strong basketball history and tradition... I'm assuming that Meech didn't want to sit at KSU for another year if he could transfer (even though sitting out a year) and play a lot somewhere else.

HEY CLASS!

Our Johnsons BIGGER than yours!
Our Johnsons BIGGER than yours!
Our Johnsons BIGGER than yours!
Our Johnsons BIGGER than yours!
Our Johnsons BIGGER than yours!
Our Johnsons BIGGER than yours!
Our Johnsons BIGGER than yours!
Our Johnsons BIGGER than yours!
Our Johnsons BIGGER than yours!

MUAHAHAHA.

Meechie got alittle upset when we yelled, "JUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUBY!" at him.
The Kent fans didn't get it, and were vocal about it. Made it ALL the funnier.

Maybe the fact that players transfer from other MAC schools will get everyone off of DD's back. Players leave every program, it happens. Out of the thousands of players at 300 + DI schools, not everyone will be comfortable at their first choice, it shouldn't come as a huge surprise. I am excited about the Serbian guy we are bringing in, I think he will do very well in the motiion offense.

I would like to see another DI school with our track record of transfers over the past three seasons.

Yeah, right. Not this group of Lazy-Boy coaches.
