Second, why are we criticizing raising money for charity?? This is a good thing to do and would it have hurt to drop 5 bucks here at BG and help out thone in need? They do what they do, and we do what we do. Leave it at that until they are on our schedule next. I can't stand the University of Michigan, but you don't see me slamming them each and every time they are brought up on this forum! Many have said it before, but keep this to BG football, thats why we are here. Now you can stoke the fire and get ready to burn me at the steak because I said positive things about OSU.
Hey moron, we are talking about spring games in this thread. By virtue of having a spring game, the Blackeyes were brought up. It could have been anyone really, but they are the example that some chose. Take off your Buckeye beads and lighten the heck up.
God you're old.

My English teacher is a huge fan and he is going down to the game. He said it only cost 5 dollars per person if that makes you feel any better.
Knowing the two English teacher at Rossford High, you can tell him where to stick his OSU tickets!!! I'm assuming you're talking about Mr. Krieger, though I wouldn't put anything past that Edmond character... I think he was a UT grad... ::puke:: Actually, they were two of the better teachers while I was there, good guys despite their choice of schools.
I have to ask though, looking at the RHS website, is the business teacher Mr. Matz a tall guy with red hair? If so, he's a BG grad, and another good guy!
Lol, have Kriegers class tomarrow and I'll make sure I bring that up. And I don't know of any Mr. Matz, there are a lot of new teachers and there is 4 or 5 retiring at the end of this year.

Tell that Kreiger that Tony Gaver sent ya! *laugh* Of course, its been 13 or so years now, maybe he won't remember me...
I'll have to call my folks and ask them about the Matz guy. As I said, if you ever do run into him (he might coach one of the basketball teams, I know he did some of that in college), you just might have a fellow Falcon in your midst!

I don’t think there were 600 people there, that’s a high and optimistic number. I don’t think the actual figure is too far off of it, but it gives the benefit of the doubt in favor of the estimate.
I knew somebody would think the crowd was an issue. If we had 20,000 people there, somebody would think we should have had 30,000. Its spring football, a totally unrealistic exercise in the game of football, which serves as a scrimmage first and foremost and as a distant second, chance to get a football fix for some fans. Its not an obligation for fans to be there, it doesn’t typically amount to anything come the regular season, and attendance shouldn’t even be allowed to be a point of concern.
I was just trying to bring this to our attention that the spring game attendance can be a judge of our overall intrest in the program. I just think that 600 or even 1,000 or so is too low for a team that has had 5 straight winning seasons and 2 straight bowl wins.
I understand that, and I was giving the historical perspective that makes it clear that spring football is not a good way to judge interest in our specific program. No harm, no foul, but its just a scrimmage.

I'm pretty sure that OSU usually gets many more than 25k fans. Usually, it is at least 50k. One year, I think they got 80k.
Actually you did get the pony, but your parents thought they'd surprise you and hide it in the closet. Unfortunatly, they forgot the poor guy was in there....poor pony....

You must be mistaken. I may be off to Arizona, but unlike you I am 100% LOYAL to my alma mater. Why don't you go suck on your beloved nuts.
You'd think after four decades as an undergrad that you would learn to love your Falcons and no one else.

One of first nice Saturdays, the game was not even on my radar screen. This is just like the regular season. If you want to get the attendance up, put the game under the lights. Miami did this on a Friday night.

I was a CS major. Rather than take the 20 minutes to count the number of people there we would've spent 8 hours writing the code to automatically count how many people were there
Truth! I am a CS major and yeah, that sounds about right on...

There is another CS major who is actually interested in sports!? Do you like girls & beer too?
Seemed like most of those guys' ideas of a fun weekend was writing code
