Jim Rome weighs in on DePaul situation

Post by Bleeding Orange »

Well, he's a pretty big jerk off, and he proved so again today. He started talking about how DePaul was getting so much press coverage for their head basketball coach search, stating that DePaul isn't North Carolina or Duke, so it doesn't matter. The first candidate he mentioned was "Bowling Green head coach Dan Dakich." Hmm....

Rome is a jerk, and not becaue of this. I just can't stand his attitude.

Can't put any stock in anything Jim Rome says. It's a real shame people like him are on television, masquerading as journalists. How does this happen? I guarantee whatever school spit him out wasn't as good as Bowling Green.

You would be correct sir.

I do think he's very funny, I went to the Cleveland #3 tour stop last year and it was phenominal. He is a bit brash at times but all and all a good guy. And by the way Bleeding, if you beat me to another thread-starter like you just did, im gonna hit you with my monkey.

I didn't realize he was pretending to be a journalist. Where does he do this?

When Jim Everett smacked him, he was maquerading as a bowling pin.

Rome is your typical bomb throwing commentator. If you don't like listening to loudmouths who make a career out of stirring controversy, don't listen to him or about 95% of commercial talk radio.

Rome recently had a late-night talk show. It really sucked. It was an attempt at comedy that was bad in every way. He fell flat on his face.

That "Chris" Everett incident happened a long time ago...'round 1994 I think. I remember it vividly. It was one of the funniest things I've ever seen on live TV (...hmmmm, wonder if it was staged). Rome is lucky to still be living. He's lucky "Chris" didn't pop 'm one. Funny, these days Rome is much more respectful of his guests.
