Guarantee you Frye has a stronger arm than the guy who's running this same offensive system in NE.BGorDeath wrote:I think it will be more like. i think josh has the leg up on luke right now.
either way, cleveland has a great connection for a long time now. FRYE'S GOT A MAN.... HE THROWS IT TO EDWARDS DOWN THE SIDELINES...... TOUCHDOWN CLEVELAND!!!!! get used to it...
I cannot believe how many MAC fans don't understand how good Charlie really was at Akron.

cleveland's signed some o-linemen this year. between joe andruzzi and cosey coleman, jeff faine will improve greatly. tucker and verba aren't ideal at the tackle spots, but they're serviceable. this is probably one of the better offensive lines that cleveland has had since they got back.BGorDeath wrote:Cleveland...where quarterbacks go to die...die a slow painful death because there has never been an offensive line...Charlie Frye...R.I.P. I don't think this is the only reason he will not succeed.
and besides, frye won't have to see the field at all this year. trent dilfer was brought in to take the hits this year, and i don't see crennel hitting the panic button like chris palmer did and bringing in the rookie too soon.

HARRIS IS THE MAN
the browns traded luke mccown to TB for a 6th round pick. looks like josh will stick around in cleveland as the third QB.

chris palmer didn't hit the panic button. carmen policy and dwight clark did. palmer didn't even want to draft couch. he wanted williams.BGFalcons232 wrote: and besides, frye won't have to see the field at all this year. trent dilfer was brought in to take the hits this year, and i don't see crennel hitting the panic button like chris palmer did and bringing in the rookie too soon.
check out "false start" by abj columnist and master of parallel structure terry pluto. it's a good, quick read, with lots of info re: the browns' first 5-6 seasons.
the punter. kyle richardson wears it.BGFalcons232 wrote: the real question is, who get number 5?

If all you want is someone with a strong arm. Then these two "strong-armed" QBs are both available. Take your choice.

I agree....we all know how good Josh is. Charlie is a great QB as well, more of a pure QB than Josh.Redwingtom wrote:Geez...let's not write off Josh as #3 just yet. He will certainly get a shot in training camp to prove himself and fight for #2. He does have the advantage of going through a camp which Frye does not yet.
Granted Frye is the higher profile guy, but just hold your horses folks!!
But Josh is more athletic, IMO. He can definitely scramble better than Charlie.
I just might become a Browns fan again....we'll see.
