Well, we might know very soon. It looks like the browns will try to unload one of them (McCown or Harris) today. Savage might like Harris better, but we also have to consider what teams are ready to deal and who they like better.

i think josh has the leg up on luke right now.

either way, cleveland has a great connection for a long time now. FRYE'S GOT A MAN.... HE THROWS IT TO EDWARDS DOWN THE SIDELINES...... TOUCHDOWN CLEVELAND!!!!! get used to it...
I think it will be more like. FRYE'S GOT A MAN...ITS EDWARDS ON DOWN THE SIDELINE...ITS UNDERTHROWN AND INTERCEPTED...THAT'S THE SECOND TOUCHDOWN OFF OF A FRYE INTERCEPTION TODAY...get used to it.
Guarantee you Frye has a stronger arm than the guy who's running this same offensive system in NE.

I cannot believe how many MAC fans don't understand how good Charlie really was at Akron.

We haven't played them in a few years, so we haven't seen him.

That's a factor.

Cleveland...where quarterbacks go to die...die a slow painful death because there has never been an offensive line...Charlie Frye...R.I.P. I don't think this is the only reason he will not succeed.

cleveland's signed some o-linemen this year. between joe andruzzi and cosey coleman, jeff faine will improve greatly. tucker and verba aren't ideal at the tackle spots, but they're serviceable. this is probably one of the better offensive lines that cleveland has had since they got back.

and besides, frye won't have to see the field at all this year. trent dilfer was brought in to take the hits this year, and i don't see crennel hitting the panic button like chris palmer did and bringing in the rookie too soon.

HARRIS IS THE MAN

the browns traded luke mccown to TB for a 6th round pick. looks like josh will stick around in cleveland as the third QB.

chris palmer didn't hit the panic button. carmen policy and dwight clark did. palmer didn't even want to draft couch. he wanted williams.
check out "false start" by abj columnist and master of parallel structure terry pluto. it's a good, quick read, with lots of info re: the browns' first 5-6 seasons.

the punter. kyle richardson wears it.

Geez...let's not write off Josh as #3 just yet. He will certainly get a shot in training camp to prove himself and fight for #2. He does have the advantage of going through a camp which Frye does not yet.

Granted Frye is the higher profile guy, but just hold your horses folks!!

I hate to slice the thread in half here, but as a Browns fan I would like to have someone with a stronger arm...if that means Frye then so be it, (but I'm still rootin' for J5!)

If all you want is someone with a strong arm. Then these two "strong-armed" QBs are both available. Take your choice.

I agree....we all know how good Josh is. Charlie is a great QB as well, more of a pure QB than Josh.
But Josh is more athletic, IMO. He can definitely scramble better than Charlie.

I just might become a Browns fan again....we'll see.

Become a fan again, but be sure never to give them a penny of your hard-earned dollars.

The NFL abandoned me in 1995, and I pledged never to attend a game again.
