Jimmy Carson (WR) in trouble
How stupid could he be. He could have been part of something really big things at BG but now he will be lucky if he can even attend classes here. This will just open up a spot for someone that really wants to be on the team.

Uh, yea
After a quick phone call, I'd say he's had an eventful summer. There's enough disrespect here to warrant being watched by the police. Perhaps a year off would help him get things inline.
I'd really like to see him speeding down the field someday.

OH, and that's NOT pending a police investigation...

BGSU player enters not-guilty plea
BOWLING GREEN - A Bowling Green State University football player charged with threatening a city police officer pleaded not guilty yesterday in Bowling Green Municipal Court.
Jimmy Lee Carson, Jr., 19, of Fort Pierce, Fla., was arrested Monday and charged with menacing, having unauthorized license plates, and having a loud amplification system when he was stopped for the second time in two days for driving with illegal plates.
According to police reports, Officer Jessica McClure pulled Mr. Carson over at 1:10 a.m. and told him he was under arrest. Mr. Carson allegedly told her, "I'm going to take care of this. I'm going to shoot you."
University officials said Mr. Carson has been suspended temporarily from the university and from the football team. A sophomore wide receiver, Mr. Carson is not a starter for the Falcons.
In court yesterday, Magistrate Tom McDermott scheduled an initial appearance with an attorney for Mr. Carson for Sept. 15. He is free on a personal recognizance bond.

Glad to see Brandon and the school acted so quickly, but else should we expect from our fine university?

Tonight's Sentinel had a recap of Carson's recent run-ins with the law:
Feb 14 - cited for traffic control device violation
June 6 - cited for disorderly conduct
Aug 15 - cited for unauthorized plates
Aug 21 - cited for loud sound amplification
It also says that Carson was warned on Sunday night about the unauthorized plates. So that on Monday he was arrested for the unauthorized plates and charged with having a loud amplification system, and menacing. The officers are saying that Carson said "I'm going to shoot you." Carson says he said "I'll sue you." I will give him the benfit of the doubt and say that 'I'll sue you' seems to fit the situation. None the less, I think his dismissal was warranted given 6! run-ins with the law in the last seven months.
