Tickets
Tickets
Hey everybody. I have a question for somebody to answer. I am a freshman here at wonderful BG and I was wondering where you go to get your tickets for the football game. I am a football fan and I would really appreciate it if somebody could help me out. Thanks!
Go Falcons!
I believe there is a student gate on the NW corner of the stadium (as you walk from campus, its to the left), and there may be one on the SW corner, too. You should just be able to walk in by showing your ID for this game, but future "big" games might require you to show your ID at the Anderson Arena ticket office to get a ticket to get in.
Then again, I haven't used a student ID in years and years, so things might have changed.

Things have changed. New rule that faculty and athletic dept. are strictly enforcing. Freshmen must bring atleast 10 people with them from their floor at the dorm and then and only then do they get in for free.
Ok, that's not true students get in for free but you must have your ID with you.
If you're talking about getting tickets for non-students go to Anderson Arena they'll have tickets available for sale
The important thing is to bring as many people as possible on your floor at the dorm to the game.

Agreed
Yeah, I definately agree. Make sure that as many people as you know come to the game. There are always those kids who sit in there dorm room all weekend and watch OSU, or go home to hang with HS friends. Most students don't realize how great of a value we get here, by getting to see this team FOR FREE. And from what I hear, you can even use your meal plan money at the game, so if you care to, you could buy 25 Hot Dogs "For Free." Have fun at the game. My freshman year was 2000, where we went 2-9, and I sat through the whole season with the band. Thats all for now, Jeff

...and there's more!
not only that, but didn't I read that there is pre-game giv-a-ways, and live music? (if someone can verify this please post it, and any info about said events) PLUS there are fireworks after the game. PLUS its the Doyt. PLUS you get to see your school open a can in its home opener. PLUS the great double traitor himself(me) ill be back for the game and more than likely going crazy in my usually front row student section seat....along with the entourage!!!!!!!! bacn3 can verify this, and that I'm not full of Amstutz. We do go nuts regardless of opponent, b/c you go to see the Falcons, not the opponent.
lastly, if you don't bring your whole floor, you cant ever post here again..j/k!

Re: Tickets
Fan67: Welcome to the SITE! Glad to see freshmen getting ready for home football!!! You guys are the ones that can really boost attendance. You have none of mental scarring of loosing to the Bulls, 2 win seasons, or Fat Punters!!! Get ALL YOUR FRIENDS out there at the game!!! Do some tailgating, and have a blast. With the football excellence, increasing enrollment, revitalization downtown, and the new Union...You came to BG at a great time!!!bgsufan67 wrote:Hey everybody. I think the flagship station "The Fox" is doing a big tailgate thing before the games this season. Not Live music, but they will be playing some tunes, I believe. The only info on their website says "Fox Tailgate parties get under way 2 hours before kickoff for all home games." Not sure what it will be but I would expect some kind of music.McMetz811 wrote:The only live music I've heard about is that awesome Falcon Marching BandBGSUfanatUT wrote:not only that, but didn't I read that there is pre-game giv-a-ways, and live music?
And the the first 10,000 into the game get a schedule magnet courtesy of SBX

First home game they give away free shirts too. SO get all your freshman buddies out there and get a free shirt! Everyone likes free stuff, especially if it is BG apparel. Lets just hope they get the shade of orange right this year.....

LIVE MUSIC
Paul Miles will be performing LIVE blues at the Alumni Tent before the game. I am sure you will be able to hear it outside of the tent as well.
Those younger fans may not know who Miles is- he is a former Falcon running back and the only player in BG football history to have his number, #29, retired.
