Back wall of Anderson Arena

Post by ZiggyZoomba »

Check out this screen capture I just grabbed off of some SWEET old Jimmy Jackson high school footage I found on VHS!

It's the fullest shot of that wall I could find. FYI, I'll upload that whole 5 minute hilight video channel 11 did back in '89 I'm guessing. It's super cool!! JJ was one amazing HS player!!

He was no LaZelle Durden.

And that wall is freaky... did AA double as a roller rink in those days?

While I agree the wall is cheesy beyond all recognition, I think that the blandness of the wall as it is plain now is MUCH worse. It's needs decor, but nothing gaudy.

It needs a gigantic mural of BG hoops hero Nate Thurmond. Can you imagine how unsettling opposing teams would find it to have to shoot free throws at a giant Nate Thurmond giving them the stink eye?

Took the words right out of my mouth, but I was thinking Josh Almanson. I can't help it, I just love Josh Almanson. He reminds me of Reggie Miller, and I LOVE Reggie Miller.

Personally, I am partial to having a large picture of Harold Anderson on the wall of the arena. Maybe the ghosts of great BGSU coaches past can help us this upcoming season. We'll need it.

You say that almost everytime someone posts a picture. Someone needs a computer update!

Hey, I HAVE a TV, it's just not connected to anything and doesn't have power to it... ;-)

I'm capturing old VHS stuff to my Mac to burn onto DVD's... sweet!

If the rumors of upgrading AA are true, I'd love to see them build something similar to Cleveland State's Wolstein Center. I went there for the NCAA 1st Round Tourney and was amazed at not only how big it was, but similarily it was also very homey too.

I can never see any of Dayon's pictures either..at home or at work...and we have top of the line stuff at work...not sure if our websense filters it out or what, but I have no troubles with anyone else's pictures.
