"But upon further review, they noticed he ran a 6.42 in the three-cone drill, which tests a player's ability to change direction and accelerate. That time, according to www.nfl.com, was faster than any other receiver's at a Pro Day workout or the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis."
That is pretty impressive. Good luck to Cole in Atlanta, it looks like it could work out for him down there.

They're Alaskans! Probably 3 hours by dogsledrollalong94 wrote:"He heard from representatives from the Cleveland Browns, whose home stadium is about a three-hour drive from Bowling Green. "
Wonder what they are driving? 3 hours?
Seriously, it does suck that the Browns didn't give him a shot. But I am glad Atlanta did.
Good luck Cole!

Nice play, Hammb! Would Balto be leading that team?hammb wrote:They're Alaskans! Probably 3 hours by dogsledrollalong94 wrote:"He heard from representatives from the Cleveland Browns, whose home stadium is about a three-hour drive from Bowling Green. "

As much as I would love to see Cole in Cleveland, I would say he made a good choice by going to Atlanta. He needs a shot with a team that employs multiple looks on offense. Cleveland is headed toward a more traditional smashmouth offense. I suspect we'll see fewer and fewer three-receiver sets as that develops.

I'm not sure I agree with that. With Edwards, a healthy Winslow, Andre Davis, and Northcutt, you might see some different formations. Spread them out, and you can find some holes...1987alum wrote:As much as I would love to see Cole in Cleveland, I would say he made a good choice by going to Atlanta. Of course, with our luck, it will never happen!
They probably used Mapquest, which had them driving 50 miles an hour and stopping in Mansfield first.rollalong94 wrote: Wonder what they are driving? 3 hours?
"I don't believe I can name a coach, anywhere, anytime, anyhow, who did it better than Doyt Perry."
