Ivan Maisel (ESPN) lists Oklahoma as the #1 team in his top ten. This is what he says "I've got a sneaking suspicion that Bowling Green is pretty good, and the Sooners just took the Falcons apart." Gee thanks Ivan. :duh: took the Falcons apart? Well, I would say Minnesota took the Rockets apart.

But the Sooners did not take the Falcons apart.

I'd take more issue with the "sneaking suspicion" line than the "took them apart". While the game as a whole was a great effort by our guys, I don't think there's any question that the run defense was "taken apart".

I ended up emailing a couple guys at the Akron Beacon Journal because they lumped the BG/OK game in with all the MAC blowout losses. I tried to explain to them had they actually watched the game, they would have seen it was a very competitive game. I got a response from one telling me to calm down saying that wasn't the intent of the articles. Oh really?? Then why try to portray that game as a blowout in your articles????

I'm still peeved at them for trying to make it sound like a blowout.

Again, those of us that saw this game in person or TV know how well BG played.
