Just wondering.... what kind of attendence have we been averaging the past few years?

I know we sold out for NIU and Toledo last year.. I think?

Has there been a steady increase since say 2002 or so?

We bottomed out in 2000 at about 8,000. That went to 17,000 or so in 2001 to roughly 18,000 in 2002 and up to 21,000 in 2003.

According to last year's media guide, the all time average at the Doyt is about 15,000.

Does anyone have an in with Krebs or the ticket office? It would be fun to get informed speculation instead of the wild ass speculation we usually engage in.

C'mon, this website runs on wild assed speculation. Taking even a small amount of it out of this site would be like asking the Yankees to give up the home pinstripes

That said, my guess is that there will be 32,000 fans OUTSIDE the stadium, just hoping to find an extra ticket to get into an already packed Doyt, but just before the official total is tallied, a UFO will hover over the west stands and take most of the fans to the mother planet.

Final total: 17,842

At the Women's Football event tonight.....

Post by Falcon Fanatic »

....Coach Brandon talked about the impact on the team when they walked down tent row before the NIU game. The number of the fans there screaming and cheering the team on was incredible. He said that when they got inside, some of the players said they had waited 4 years to get that kind of fan support and a few of the players had tears in their eyes!! We need that kind of support EVERY GAME, no matter WHO we are playing!!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
