Reading that, it says that Jason Jackson will be doing the commentary. If I'm correct Jackson is a BG Alumn and was also on ESPN.

If its the same one, then yes. Seemed like a nice guy, but also seemed to have his own agenda for some things, though I never knew him all that well. His brother Jeff is a great guy, though, I knew him a little better.

He's going from ESPN to BCSN? I don't know much about BCSN but I do know that every event is taped delayed. Seems like a drastic change.

Jackson left ESPN in a bad way. Some detail is available here:

Bottom line: There was no way he was going to get back to the level he was at immediately, not with that allegation out there.

Jeez! I just saw the other thread about Jason's wife! You mean they are back in Bowling Green? That's great.

Until recently, he was doing a local sports talk show in Hartford (and maybe he still is; these things can be done remotely).

I'm thrilled to see he is getting the chance to call a Bowling Green game, and I hope he gets many, many more chances. I imagine he's happy about that, too.

(I'd love to see him in the booth with Todd Walker, frankly; that would be *outstanding*).

Jason did outstanding work for WBGU back in the early 1990s -- he really stood out. And he's a personable guy: student government president in 1992-93.

It's cool that he's back, and I hope his career is moving forward again. (In fact, those sports anchors in Toledo may want to start looking over their shoulder).

This thread about Shirelle Jackson mentions Jason as well.

Also, we will have a new announcer at football games this fall!

Wow, I didn't hear about that...If it's true then I can see why he was fired. But, I must say that he is very good at what he does.

and to Dayons...sorry if I offended you.

Nah BCSN is goofy.... do you get it though? Living in BG I don't get to see myself to critique my actions... Maybe I could slip you a couple of tapes. . .

Folks don't believe everything you read. When you see the word "alledged" or anything of that nature, know that you are reading info from a person that is out of the loop.

I heard that he told a joke that a woman found offensive. She complained. He was released.

Nice to have Jason back in BG
