MAC Tourney Softball info...

Post by Metz »

BG opens play as the 6th seed playing 3rd seeded Miami at 11am Wednesday. If they win, they won't play again until 5pm on Thursday against the winner between CMU/EMU. If they lose, they will play at 11am Thurday against the loser of CMU/EMU...got to love the double elimnation! The first round game against Miami is probably going to be tough. We are 0-3 against them this year so hopefully this one doesn't have the same result. If winning, I won't mind playing CMU (after seeing them this weekend) or EMU because I KNOW BG can beat both teams. If anyone is planning on going Wednesday, let me know! We can tailgate before the games :D

You can go to the link before for a copy of the bracket to see who else we have a chance of playing when.

Metz,

Good to see the team get 1 game at CMU....should have been 2!

Oh well...second season begins now. How about a repeat of 2004??? :D

I won't be able to make it until Saturday, due to working until 6pm.
Hopefully, BG will be playing Saturday.

Gametracker will have the games.

Mike maybe you can explain this to me. I looked at the bracket and it shows that both the losers of games 1 and 2 stay in the tourney...how can that be?

If you had read the attached article, instead of trying to post on every single topic you know nothing about this morning, you would have seen that it was double-elimination, This means that unlike single elimination tournaments (NCAA basketball) you have to lose twice to be knocked out of the tournament.

Ouch! That spanking hurt!

I wish these game were later as well. It would make it so much easier if they would just schedule things around me.
Is that too much to ask? :D

In a little less offensive way than PGY, let me quote my first post. "got to love the double elimnation!" Please read things more carefully in the future. It will not only help you, but keep everyone from coming down on you.

And Rollalong...I have this week between school getting out and when I start work and wouldn't you know, the softball games are during that same week. Looks like they scheduled them for me :P

Well, Metz, you have been to more events than me (and probably most people) this year, so you deserve the preferential treatment!
