"San Diego Falcon - do you have any high-paying jobs for music teachers/ creative geniuses out there?"
Maybe if you're a top-notch teacher (if Gov Arnold gets his way, we'll have pay-for-performance in place for teachers soon). The real problem would be finding an affordable place to live out here.
If Jacobs leaves after this year, I have no problem with Turner as our QB for 3 years (unless of course he leaves early as well). I could be wrong, but think we're playing at Arizona State in 2008 (Turner's senior year) and plan to be there.
Reality check??

I believe we play at Arizona State in 2007. I'm putting together a trip for our family to go out West and spend a week checking out the sites and going to the game. We'll hook up!

I don't ever recall being offended. I think everyone here can agree that 9-2 is a realistic outcome to this season. I just happen to think with the talent we have we should be shooting for something better than that.old guy wrote: I must also apologize to all of you who I offended with my opinions. You know, untill yesterday I thought this was an open forum where opinions--everyone's opinions--were welcome.

Re: reality check
I think whay many were bothered (if that is the right word) by this post is that you think BG would be "very fortunate" to get a split and that going 0-4 wouldn't shock you, but going 4-0 would.old guy wrote:Wisconsin, Boise, Miami, Toledo--realistically, BG could lose any one or--given there defense--all of these games. I think it highly unlikely they will win all of them. A good guess--again given their defense-- would be that they will be very fortunate to split the four. (3 of the 4 are on the road--very hard to win.) That would be my guess--2 and 2 in those four games. And again--with their defense--it wouldn't shock me if they lost them all. I would be very, very surprised if they won them all.
You want people to get their heads out of the clouds or their whatevers, but your comments make one think you are either (1) unfamiliar with BG or (2) unfamiliar with BG's opponents. I would be shocked if BG went 0-4 in those games, much more so than if they went 4-0. In fact, if they went 4-0 I wouldn't be that surprised. On paper, it seems that none of the teams can slow down the BG offense. Can any of them score with BG, even if BG has a suspect defense? I think only Boise St. could -- they are clearly the toughest opponent.
In another post you said that you wouldn't take even odds for BG doing undefeated. So? I wouldn't take even odds for anyone going undefeated since it happens about 1 - 3 per year and sometimes not at all. The question is: Is an undefeated season realistic? The answer seems to be yes. Now, is an undefeated season likely?
